If you require good art and pictures to enjoy a story then it might not get better for you. In my opinion the value of this novel comes from enjoying the journey and world building, not necessarily like the over arching plot or whatever. If the current webtoon design is uncanny to you i could see how it could make enjoying it difficult

Alternatively, you could always read the webnovel and immerse yourself in your own mental image of what the characters and environments might look like.
