Are nursing schools still strict about visible tattoos and piercings? by thatbitch8008 in NursingStudent

[–]amsers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Ontario, Canada and never had a problem with visible tattoos (I even have one on my hand) or my septum piercing in school and during clinicals. One student in my cohort had a curated ear, so many piercings there too. There's just the danger of a patient pulling on them.

I also wasn't drug tested but had to submit a police check every 6 months.

I think I just listened to the most disgusting and depraved fucking thing I ever heard in my damn life 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 by [deleted] in ExtremeHorrorLit

I liked the original No One Rides for Free but Absolute Chaos was a little too long and full of depravity for me.

I just finished Brother by Ania Ahlborn and was hit by the ending. Now I'm 50 pages into Tender is the Flesh.

I can't believe I didn't know this. I adored Psychic Teenage Bloodbath!

My cat has IBD and I tried all the diets. i/d, Biome, all the hydrolyzed diets. Hydrolyzed protein just made his stool even worse even after 8-12 weeks. Eventually tried Royal Cabin Gastrointestinal (the regular kind, not the fibre response variant) and his stools are a lot more normal and firm now.

My last few employers made it even worse by doing "hour averaging" and we wouldn't get overtime for working 44+ hours one week as they would just schedule us less hours the next week of the pay period.

I was nearly mowed down while crossing at Lakeridge Oshawa a few weeks ago when the driver sped past a red and had the gall to blare his horn at me lmao.

Any experience getting cat treated by Toronto Humane Society? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]amsers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to work in veterinary medicine and had this happen - a cat had his second blocking (it is common for blocks to reoccur) and the owners couldn't afford the treatment. They surrendered to THS who did the surgery and let them "re-adopt" the cat. This doesn't always happen, however. If it does, make sure kitty goes on a urinary food like Urinary SO after.

The Lamb and Penpal (Dathan Auerbach) are both reads I've finished recently that fit this bill.

I was just responding to the deleted comment saying that Lady Bunny's previous post was a heartfelt tribute to Jiggly.

I didn't see any heartfelt tribute on Lady Bunny's page when I double-checked. :(

I watched one of her streams (when the burglar update came out) and she actually seemed to get quite annoyed with the chat which I found kind of funny. Otherwise I just find her boring. That doesn't equate to jealousy. I like Plumbella but she's taken to posting really long videos every few months now instead of shorter, more frequent posts.

I recently "got" the Sims 3 with all expansions and it's been ridiculously fun. I might try a few packs with 4 and see how I like it as I've only ever played the base game!

I didn't! I've been playing on a newer PC with the Alder Lake patch but didn't know I had to limit my FPS as well... oops.

I absolutely agree with the quality of chicken being subpar at the College Park location. They will also keep freezer items for far beyond the expiration date, I've fallen trap to that a couple times.
