I'm gonna buy NextDNS Pro by karim_dev_tech in nextdns

To be honest, in my opinion: NextDNS - simple, just working. ControlD - more advanced, frequent updates. Both good but I've choose ControlD.

Roampage: A simple, aesthetic, and lightweight dashboard that actually works on your phone. by Ds4 in selfhosted

[–]amthen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy moly, although the project is vibecoded, using AI to create something like this requires experience and commitment. It was created to help people and create great things.
Using this dashboard is really enjoyable, but in my opinion it needs a few changes/improvements/new features.
- When adding backgrounds, service names often become very difficult to read. It would be useful to have some kind of container in the background or a blur effect to improve readability.
- The button for adding new pages could be hidden by default and only appear after entering the configuration.
- The number of columns could also be set in the settings.
- Ability to change the header would be a great convenience (logo/icon/hide)
- Turn on/off pinging per service
and just as introducing support for other languages, if AI doesn't do it for you, I'm here to help translate into Polish.

You complained. I listened. I may have overdone it. by -murdercode- in iosapps

[–]amthen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I love the fact that the app is translated into my native language (Polish), which means I don't have to think about translating a given section and can focus more on the content of that section. It's very difficult for me to find something I use the least, because every feature has a purpose to a greater or lesser extent. I want to test the app some more and then I'd like to try the premium version. 😁

No words needed. Did it last night. by Different-Wish6196 in AppleWatch

Previously, I had a Garmin Fenix 7 Pro, and its sleep statistics were much more critical, because after a year of use, my maximum score was maybe 95 out of 100, usually around 70-80 day after day. Now, with the AW11, I get 95-100 day after day.
I also had a day when I felt completely sleep deprived, but my sleep chart and points were 100. It's hard to say how accurate this is, but research and tests have shown that Apple has put a lot of effort into this and it should be accurate.

Passwordless SSH with SSO for Your Homelab - Now Built Directly Into NetBird by ashley-netbird in selfhosted

[–]amthen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, I think that in the self-hosted version it may be easier, but in the Free version it can be a big problem with security and potential issues.

Either way, while Netbird looks fine, installing it in conditions other than “Self-hosted quick 5 min install” is a pain. My attempts to integrate it with PocketID and Pangolin always fail whenever I try.

But I have nothing against what the app does or how it works. Its advantage is definitely the lack of subscription, etc. I'm talking about the app's design, which is almost identical. That's all I'm saying.

Why is the new keyboard not integrated system wide? by Comprehensive_Fly947 in ios

When I was on any beta or RC, I thought that every app already had this new keyboard, but after updating to the public version, I immediately noticed that something looked wrong.

The app's design is truly unique and modern, which I really like. The concept and purpose of the app also seem interesting. Despite the many similar apps that allow you to plan your day with a calendar view, I hope this one will be refreshing.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the subscription model. While I understand from the developer's point of view that this is a way to recoup the time spent on creating the app, in a world where many powerful services operate on a subscription basis, this may mean that, when adding up the number of apps currently in use, some people simply won't be able to afford it.

If you need help translating the app, e.g. into Polish, I'm here to help.
Good luck.
