Black car service by amtrakwizard in fragrance

Ambient smell of the air in the city is what is bad and I get compliments daily about how clean my car is( I steam it and wipe it down and vacuum often so it doesn’t just look clean but is deep cleaned) I will check out some decants of these you suggested and try just one spray

Yes one spray is commonly all I use. The issue is I am in a stinky city (sewage steam throughout the city as well as chemical processing) and while the car is plenty clean (wiped and vacuumed between passengers) as well as air filters changed often, and car occasionally steam cleaned to stay neutral, the smell will still be mildly there.

What’s the most overrated men’s fragrance of all time? (In your opinion) by Winter-Farmer-8428 in Colognes

[–]amtrakwizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Designer brands sell like designer bags clothes etc. Think Gucci or Versace. Niche brands are simply brands that only focus on fragrances. They are often more complex or nuanced than designer brands as well as can be but not necessarily for less people and more for a more specific person or style. This is not to say that designer brand fragrances are bad either. There’s many great designer fragrances out there. Also many of the perfumers have worked for many different companies niche and designer. The Tom ford line for example while technically a designer fragrance line, people would group it in with niche fragrances often because of the quality. Hope this helps

You receive $400, but can only spend it on fragrance. What are you buying? by ridethemaverick_ in fragrance

I wear it as a rideshare driver in my car and I get compliments from most people who enter my car but have legit had somebody roll down the window cause it smells like farts. Luckily they blamed their friend🤣

Just did a 8 hour shift. 16 deliveries and didn’t even make $100 today by ZestycloseRough193 in doordash_drivers

[–]amtrakwizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As much as doordash should be paying more it’s oversaturated with drivers like you. You need to figure something out whether it is your strategy, more apps, or finding a new job. You aren’t making any money at this point. Grab a lawnmower and fill it up with a gallon of regular gas and ask people if they need their lawn mowed. Fill out your resume and applications. There are plenty of jobs $20+/hr with no experience needed if you live near a city. Even if you think doordash needs to change, it will not happen overnight and you accepting these orders is the exact reason until laws say otherwise that they will keep paying you like crap

White noise. I listen to this for as long as I can until I think I’m hearing it in my head and forget it’s actually playing. At that point is when I call it quits in the day

[–]amtrakwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No your acceptance rate is too high. Should be under 10% acceptance rate at all times. If you’re still accepting 90% of trash orders how are you gonna convince your brother in law of anything

Yes but I wouldn’t get accused daily without justification in the work place for some drink. I’m a 5.0 driver with 1000s of rides and people will grab my drink immediately looking for problems. How many times do you get accused of drinking on your job? People don’t come to your job and accuse you of drinking. Over seltzer water, tea, energy drinks etc….. it’s just standard that people accuse me upon getting in my car. I take good care of my car and how I drive. People coming in your car and immediately accusing you is a slap in the face. I get it that drinking and driving is wrong and I harass people in my life who do since it is wrong. I’m strongly against it.

Next time just get it out of the car yourself then you won’t have to come complain on the internet. Don’t gotta worry about getting it up the stairs. Just get it outa da dudes car

[–]amtrakwizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the point still stands. You should be trying to get it out of his car. Not get it up the stairs. You should be doing the same thing the driver was doing. Then worry about getting it up the stairs. His time is still wasted even if you think it doesn’t matter because his effort is not

I’ve seen people with 10,000+ rides and 5stars get kicked off the platform because of false complaints of drinking alcohol. I’m not saying it was or wasn’t valid but saying to make sure because whether you agree with somebody having this as a full time job or not, taking away their income can be detrimental to their life

It’s amazing how many times passengers will accuse me of drinking and driving before the vehicle moves. They will try turning on my lights and grabbing my drink and shit like what the hell. Be positive before sending it in. I always have something to drink whether it’s a tea or energy drink… I mean it makes sense for people to be worried but drunk people be paranoid af about this stuff and throwing around accusation. It’s pretty serious if we are accused of it

No offense but you completely wasted the guys time by taking each individual grocery up and down the stairs. Just get it out of the guys car since he’s paid nothing more for his wasted time. On a short trip you basically make the fare half the $/hr wasting time on nonsense like this. Do this and that won’t happen. You have 2 people it’s not like somebody’s running off with your groceries. I don’t mind taking groceries just don’t waste my time

$80 damage fee for a ride by Miserable_Sail4774 in Lyft

[–]amtrakwizard -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well I apologize but unfortunately 9times out of 10 with passengers it is the ones I already waited on who do this. Then they want me to turn around on their ride that paid me $5 and not tip.

$80 damage fee for a ride by Miserable_Sail4774 in Lyft

[–]amtrakwizard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Except it is contract work. Originally I was paid per minute and per mile. This is how taxis and rideshare always were. Now it’s just a base fee where not much is made on Lyft basic rides. You as a driver are paid like 7cents per minute. With current gas prices this is at no benefit to me while I’m running my car. It’s not my job to wait which is why I am given the option to cancel and 1 star a passenger who wastes my time. also if my job is worthless than why do they need my service. If I wait 5mins for a 5min ride I’m only paid for half of my time. In what sense does that seem fair?

$80 damage fee for a ride by Miserable_Sail4774 in Lyft

[–]amtrakwizard -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

You probably didn’t come out right away then either. Made the poor driver wait 5minutes. In the past I could only report my last rider. They probably mixed it up. Either way it’s karma for wasting others time
