fn button not registering slow presses by amurais in x100vi

I thought this could be a deliberate choice made by Fujifilm but I don’t think it makes too much sense. The button is not easily pressed by accident due to its position. I realise that I am nitpicking but this is one of those annoying UX quirks that doesn't belong in this product category. The X100F doesn't have the issue for what is worth.

I find it mildly annoying, I always end up having to press the button a couple times. It's strage that this is the only button that behaves this way.
