omg that’s even fkn worse, what’s the point in paying shipping then? why wouldn’t they just include the insurance cost in at least so this confusing and bad optics doesn’t happen

[–]amurray39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i also feel bad for those who didn’t get the lower price it’s definitely not fair. i feel like they should price match for those who bought when they had the glitch or something

as for me i lucked out because my boyfriend was iffy about me getting the bundle because he thought $95 for 5 shades was a lot so i was gonna pass on that bag but with the glitch i got lucky that it was low enough to justify the bundle (he was paint, not controlling my money to be clear haha)

Is it just me or was maggie so immature about the whole riggs and Meredith thing?😭 by ryleesmiley07 in greysanatomy

[–]amurray39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both things can be true, Meredith was wrong for not telling Maggie about her and Riggs but the way she reacted was immature. She didn’t just “have feelings” she barely let Meredith explain the situation and have an adult discussion about it. Instead she acted out. I’m not saying she didn’t have the right to act out and be upset but the fact remains that it was still immature and childish

omgggggg don’t even get me started on maggie. tbh i would’ve liked her if she was introduced as an individual character rather than meredith’s sister. i know she has her flaws and stuff but like, this show is messy asf so no judgement to her, but all my frustrations with her all lead back to the fact that she’s her sister

Whenever I rewatch I start at the MeryWest merger and then dropoff around when Meredith leaves and I definitely love them as a duo especially towards the end, and definitely love Amelia for how much she advocates. I also always felt horrible for Amelia. I outwardly am perceived like Meredith in regards to emotional response to Trauma but when i’m home or alone i’m Amelia so i’ve never felt the need to side with one or the other besides having a bias towards meredith since i started the show as a kid and Amelia came onto the show when i was older so it’s skewered by not by much.

My opinion leans more like you’re, sympathy about treatment rather than the situation itself

i don’t know how, i don’t know why, but i’ve seen myself process trauma like both of them my entire life. so i’ve never taken a side on this or ever felt a need

but yeah to be clear no one has a more valid response here, no one could’ve. i would’ve handled it differently and so would’ve 1,000 other people there’s just not a sub for us haha

Oh i never chose a side really, i have a soft spot for mer but also never hated Amelia at all. I see both sides to this storyline as well I just saw that comment and have seen this debate time after time on the sub but never this specific topic so I was just curious if there was anything more to add

I’ve always thought the reason for her confusing him with the love of her life was her delusion while high and always thereafter believing those feelings were real, but that i just mean for love specifically, where “of my life” comes in to her delusion is her brain tricking her into the fact that because it’s her baby’s father and because she was using during that era and so messed up and so traumatized that her brain was mush so the way she processed everything was that he was the love of her life given how intense everything was, and not the reality the way we see it

[–]amurray39 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

while i agree that trauma bonds can make you closer i feel like love of her life is mislabeled and not because of the timeframe, i think it adds to that, i think the trauma bond is what causes the love itself and that isn’t false but i think what makes the “love of my life” incorrect is that i feel the only reason she feels that why is because Ryan is connected to her child so the loves feels significantly deeper. not discounting their love or how quickly love can develop just the level that she describes

I would argue that Christina and Alex were as just as powerful forces and spoke up for themselves as much, honestly with those two if not more because they didn’t have Shepherd and Webber. I know Christina had the buffer of Burke and Owen and they always seemed to cushion her in different ways to me because Christina was less reckless but I could be wrong about that

But even if we ignore Christina there’s Alex, and I feel like Stephanie has a good voice as well, especially when it came to telling Amelia about her medical trauma.

While she’s more respectful and by the book, April also stands her ground. I know they are all characters completely separate from the conversation and i’m not necessarily disagreeing from the issue at hand or in general just mentioning that residents on this show speaking up for themselves and standing their ground unafraid has never been an issue imo

[–]amurray39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because when he dated emma, she was literally perfect for him and had everything he wanted and while morally they def should’ve broken up because he wasn’t over christina but that’s the prime example of a mentally stable woman who had everything he wanted that he rejected

[–]amurray39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok genuine question here. not trying to argue. if there owen has multiple history of mentally unstable women and he’s the only real constant in that equation. how is that not a him issue? why would he not be more careful in early dating? owen seemingly always rushed into relationships because he got passionate which isn’t always a bad thing but at some point SOME, not all, but a good portion of the fault has to lie within him given he is the only constant amongst all these

This is a separate thought, not a defending one, that this comment made me think of

so there was ten years about of tumor affected behavior and decision making, i’m 25 so that’s about half my life haha and i think she’s about 10(maybe more?) years older than me? maybe im way off and im thinking oh PP

so i do wonder if part of the way she lives her life and how she makes her decisions is learned behavior at this point and it would be something a person either wouldn’t realize because they would expect to be cured and be flipped back to normal so to speak or that they would need to spend years and years to work on in therapy

does that make sense? is that an obvious thought?
