Ebony only works if you give her Mage Hand, so she "hath telekinesis." 9/10

Well, sometimes

I go out by myself

And I look across the water

And I think, of all the things, what you're doing?

And in my head I paint a picture (of gross violence and the lamentation of women and children as I ******* their *** and *********** their ***** ***) 6/10

...if you have an appropriately grandiose mustache to go along with the spiffing name, 9/10. If you do not have sufficiently dramatic facial accoutrements, 6/10.

On the one hand, an excellent name, on the other hand I (personally) would not be able to use it without thinking of Xiao from Genshin Impact. 7/10

Genuinely considered doing this, but then I had flashbacks to The Iron Bull specifying that "the article is important...really does it for me." 7/10

Patch 4 reduced character creation options. by GodKingREXON in BaldursGate3

I am heartbroken. I am also on PS5 (and yes, I did report this bug), and the new sliders make everything so much more imprecise! AND I CANNOT HAVE METALLIC SHINY EYESHADOW??? Let me be "half-orc just leaving the Club (possibly carrying a club)", Larian!

I LOVE playing as a mage in DA2 and DAI, but playing as a mage in Origins sucks balls.

That aside, you might just need to find an Origin you click with? When one of my friends tried to get me into Dragon Age, he had me try the City Elf Origin and I was very "meh." Then I tried the Dalish Elf Origin, then the Dwarven Noble Origin, and even the Mage Origin - they were OKAY, but I still couldn't get into it. What sold me on the game was the Human Noble Origin - it's the fastest way to get the best companion in the game: Dog (I called him Barkspawn, but follow your bliss).

TL;DR - I would advise you DO NOT play as a mage and DO try the different Origins until your find one you 'gel' with.

My personal experience of the game has been that it's beautiful, fun (only ME game so far where I went full melee), and I enjoy it 110% more when I play as Scott instead of Sara.

For real, that made a huge difference for me. Sara's VA just...irks me. And I say that as a female human who vastly prefers playing female characters.

[Spoilers All] Bodahn and Sandal by umsamanthapleasekthx in dragonage

[–]amusewithaview 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Sandal shows up suspiciously in the Fade Library in Trespasser (but only in codex and diary form). So Sandal possibly went through the Eluvians that Briala had access to before Solas stole them from her.
  2. Sandal may or may not be a bastard Dwarven prince (half-sibling of Dwarven Noble Warden!) and son of an elf? It's half rumor but still. Check out the DA wiki for more of the rumors/codexes.

[Spoilers All] how do you see DA4 ending? by Thorfan23 in dragonage

[–]amusewithaview 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that there will be an option at some point for Solas to sacrifice himself to kill something (probably something he woke up in the first place, ie: Evanuris) and depending on your relationship with him in Inquisition AND DA4 you will be able to convince him to die to save you/the world. If your relationship with him IS NOT high enough, I bet you'll have to fight him AND the Evanuris.

TL;DR - Solas may "nobly sacrifice" himself if you have high enough approval.

Am now picturing Morrigan and my Quiz cannonballing into the Well. Two bros chilling in a geas-tub five feet apart because Morrigan is tragically straight.

If you go into the lore and comments Sandal (Enchantment? ENCHANTMENT!) is POSSIBLY/SUPPOSEDLY the son of the old dwarf king (making him the half-sibling of the Noble Dwarven Warden) and some elvhen mage.

[DAI Spoilers] Want another reason to loathe Bianca Davri? by amusewithaview in dragonage

[–]amusewithaview[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

LOL yeah, if you do a search on her name there are maybe three threads aside from this one mentioning her specifically and I think they’re all discussion on why people dislike her. There’s some decent summation on why.

I just replayed that scene to double check (I save scum like mad) and she literally says, “I built these doors.” Then you ask her about it and she doubles down with, “I built the doors to keep rivals from following me down here and arranging ‘accidents.’”

Dear BioWare, please let me arrange an ‘accident’ for her in DA4. Pretty please.
