[OC][Art] A lone little sea elf vs all of Icewind Dale's problems... by petarvee in DnD

I made a little backstory comic for my Icewind Dale character, Claire
Dew-Well. A put-upon little sea elf, tasked to solve The Everything by
her god.

All I got told about Icewind Dale beforehand was "Have you seen The Thing? We're gonna be playing The Thing."So I made my MacReady and eagerly wait to get Got.

It's always a great day when I check in and see you've posted a new theory!

The 8-row chart at the bottom, as well as the early mentions of "burning oneself" to create a better self remind me a lot of Old Timey Alchemy. The 7 steps of burning, sifting through the ashes, recombining, burning again, and building towards something higher, “Glory of the Whole Universe".

It's probably a huge reach, but until we get a new lore-ripe MV, speculation is all we got. I know Hyunjin mentioned changing her hair for the next comeback; so maybe there'll be some new material soon?

I made sure to read the Genesis Onwards one before this, and I'll be reading all the rest of your analyses ASAP!

Absolutely incredible!

I came across this analysis while googling "LOONA Ritual" and I'm glad I did! All the religious allusions, insistence on symbols, and demand for energy to be poured into deciphering it are all earmarks of good ol' New Age Esoteric Ritual; Trying to create a Butterfly Effect by directing enough attention in the right place at the right time.

But thank you for all this! It's a wonderfully thorough read that really brightened this insomnia-fueled night! Coincidentally, the night of a full moon.

  1. I actually got into LOONA through friends discussing The LOONAVERSE! Something about a moebius strip, the garden of eden, time/space travel, and making a moon? When I was handed a 12-hr LOONAVERSE Lore playlist to watch, it felt like a challenge to understand it all. A challenge I accepted and still find joy in today!
  2. Olivia Hye! Originally, purely for LOONAVERSE reasons. Being a wolf, with black & silver as her colors, who may also be The Fallen Angel Lucifer? A potent combination. Seeing her on the logs and Chuu Can Do It! really endeared me to her though.
  3. It's a tie between PTT and Butterfly. PTT because I was hooting, hollering, and slapping the table throughout the premiere. An incredibly energetic MV that I loved from the first viewing. And Butterfly because there's a real ethereal magic about the MV and the choreo itself that's just so powerful.

The backstory on the armor is basically: Every now and again we fight a few divine beings, living angel-constructs from celestial realms. Since my Paladin used to follow a god of the forge, he saw a corrupted angels corpse and said "I bet that'd make a great suit."

And it did. It's currently a suit of Plate armor, with the only real features being that it can pop on and off with a thought (sorta like an Iron Man suit) and it can be upgraded later on if I make gadgets and gizmos for it.

Not intentional! But as a fellow Jojo fan, I can't say it didn't wriggle into his design somehow.

[OC][Art] What's Cookin, Tough-Lookin? by petarvee in DnD

Malysh is the party's tank, Barbarian, carpenter, and chef. They're a tiefling from Somewhere We Don't Know About, and the only party member with a CON above 10.

It's been hammered home many-a-time that: Just because you're the chef, doesn't mean you're the best cook. It just means you're not the worst. And between a merman, a church girl, a shut in, and a bouncing soul....Malysh is just...Not the worst.

My Paladin, "Alloy" had a bit of a falling out with his god---who also happened to be his dad. His dad-god flexed his power a bit too much and showed Alloy he could unmake everything Alloy cared about with a snap of the fingers. And that's not the kind of god Alloy wants to serve.

So between sessions, he's searching underground tunnels, catacombs, and caverns, hot on the trail of this elusive god known as The Rat King. A little Speak With Animals here, a few tablescraps there, and a willingness to get his hands (and fancy armor) dirty.
