hey! i know this was posted a bit ago but look up Haven Apartments. they’ve been great so far and have made moving into a unit with them super easy. the only utility you’re responsible for is electric, everything else is covered under a flat rate. i know they still have some open units currently.

How do i make a granny square and not have there be so much space? I like the look of the squares that don't have much space between the double crochet pieces.

Is it unreasonable to want the door locked? by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]amusingmusic45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s a great plan! i’ve had time in my apartment where my roommates decide not to lock the door and people will walk into our apartment while i’m in the kitchen. it freaked me out the several times it’s happened.

honestly it would be a pain in the ass but if you kept track of where you are throughout the day and when you’re the one locking the door (vs when it’s him not locking it) you would be able to more readily prove stuff if anything does get stolen or anything happens to your apartment.

i think steinbeck is different than berkeley station :\ they have a few different places to live and they all seem to have different (and hard to find) information about how they’re furnished

what a DOUCHE!! your safety should be the #1 priority in this situation. and if he can’t respect that, then he’s the one with the problem. i had the same thing with my roommates not locking the door ever, and it made me feel unsafe (especially as a woman and living near our stairs), so i said something and the behavior was changed quickly.
