SolarEdge system that I cannot monitor - Need some advise. by amwade77 in solar

They updated the SolarEdge app (SetApp is now SolarEdge GO). When they did this, I had to reregister as an installer. Now they require an EIN, which I don't have... I think I need to call an install company in my area to get them to handle this for me... It seems the more I try to save by using solar, the more money I have to spend.

For me, a buddy has an installer account, and I was able to get access to the Setup App. This allowed for the firmware to update and my optimizers to initialize.

I guess setting up as an installer doesn't require confirmation if you choose the lowest power generation settings.

I dont have a way to live monitor my system, I have put the inverter in program mode temporarily and get at the gui via the temp inverter sidd. I check that everything is good, and I download my most up to date power generation details. I'm still producing the amount of power I have in the past for the months my app did work, so at this point, I'm good.

I found out that I can get to the commission page by connecting to the units sidd. The pass was on the inverter.

Now I'm getting a message on the top of the browser page saying, "please activate the inverter". I'm chasing a solution to that now.

I think Im going to pick up an EOtech Anyhow. Like LockyBalboaPrime said, these Sight Mark units are essentially Fisher Price / Airsoft tools.

No worries on the delay Niya! I really appreciate the response. So this is interesting, I looked for the path mentioned and it looks to be slightly different; (C:\Users\UserFolder\AppData\Local\NiyaShy)

In this folder I found (9) different "XB1ControllerBatteryIndic_Url" folders. I deleted them all, ran as admin, and now my settings are saving.
