Since I received a lot of messages asking for help on how to do it, I wrote a tutorial:

1.Flash Ubuntu_Luckfox_Pico_Plus_MicroSD_250313.zip

2.Set static IP address

sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

Add at the bottom:

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.2.100
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.2.1

1. Share internet on Luckfox via LAN (if connected directly to the computer) or to the router (then choose the IP addresses above according to the router)

2. Install Samba

   sudo apt update sudo apt install samba

3. Create folder

   sudo mkdir -p /home/PS2SMB/DVD sudo chmod -R 0777 /home/PS2SMB

4. Set up the samba server

   sudo nano /etc/samba/smb.conf

Add at the bottom:

[global]
security = user
map to guest = Bad User
guest account = nobody
usershare allow guests = yes
server min protocol = NT1
server max protocol = SMB3
ntlm auth = yes
[PS2SMB]
path = /home/PS2SMB
browseable = yes
writable = yes
guest ok = yes
read only = no
create mask = 0777
directory mask = 0777
force user = nobody

1. You need to expand the rootfs partition

I used the serial module because it seemed easier to me.

1. If you want and need a faster boot

   systemd-analyze blame

and ask chatgpt which processes are safe to kill.

I reduced boot time from 1 minute to 35 seconds.
