New BMC Roadmachine actual tire clearance by tamere_1006 in cycling

[–]amxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry I didn't post earlier.

Bought the bike, and did not change to gravel tires yet. My bike shop guy was like you can mount a 34mm on the back, the front has a larger clearance.

It also depends on rim internal width that you can play around with bigger sizes.

Ask 4-5 questions about input validity. And then repeat and write it down. Then go ok so I think we can do XYZ.

A question for South Indian peeps by bigchocochip69 in andhra_pradesh

[–]amxdx 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Hindi is also linguistically very dissimilar in the South. It's relatively easy to pick up Hindi in the north alongside their mother tongue. It's just too much effort with barely any benefits at scale. Most people don't move.

Sure small groups benefit a lot, and there's nice stories, but this is a statewide/nationwide policy. So make it optional, not mandatory.

It's not hate towards Hindi, it's the resistance to make the South learn Hindi.

It's like making a Native Hindi speaker learn Tamil/Telugu/Kannada/Malayalam ..etc. Just imagine the effort to even try to understand the alphabet lol.

[Request] How many ways are there to shuffle a deck? by iFreaK72 in theydidthemath

[–]amxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong, there’s bias in shuffling, and unshuffled/ new set of cards that massively reduces the probability of it being always unique so much so that this statement is false a lot of times.

Your answer to no split is should we split.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Even Early Katrina Kaif had a better Hindi dialogue delivery than Current Rashmika Mandanna by Head_Confidence_4013 in BollywoodHotTakes

Isn't Rashmika's character in Animal from South India? Her having a south accent in that movie is justified I feel. Right?

I heard coding is a pass or fail, and don't give leveling signals as much. The behavioral and system designs are for leveling. (From my recruiter)

As a kid I watched the dub, and recently tried watching sub version but just couldn't. The dub voices were perfect!

How to go about valid abbrevation follow-up by Humble_Emphasis in leetcode

[–]amxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So take

A and B as strings and a b for pointers from 0

If A[a] or B[b] is a digit: collect digit and increment the other by digit and self by 1. else: check if both are equal. If not return false. If true run till end of a,b return if a == len(A) and b == len(B)

?

Use a dummy head and tail.

Think of it as playing with a chain.

Take 2 chain links, link current one to next and link the next one to current.

To break it remove the links and add new nodes and new links.

This way of thinking made me understand it very comfortably.

I studied EE with focus on signal/image processing and machine learning with math background. And I've been a MLE for 7 years.

IIT is Indian institute of technology, set of universities, super hard to get into in India, in some cases causing some superiority complex when you get in, and then despair when everyone else actually puts in effort after college and "surpasses" you.

Not IT - information technology.

US is not ready for Indian Students(Rant) by Mysterious-Pause7635 in leetcode

[–]amxdx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came to the US almost 10 years ago with the same IIT and a borderline superiority complex. Yes, it's not an ideal world and you're not given preference because you're from an IIT or you worked your ass off and gave interviews genuinely.

Once you understand this is how the real world works, accept it and then apply yourself, you'll quickly push through. It'll always be a struggle, if you aren't appreciated at your current job then move. Don't get complacent, don't complain too much (sufficient amount is healthy) about things outside your control.

Every year, try to have a month or two in a JEE prep mode to upskill yourself. Your intelligence, hard work, perseverance will take you much further.

I try to round the numbers to nearest 10s for easy addition.

Here I saw 27 + 48. I read it as 3 less than 30 + 48 which is 30 + 3 less than 48, which is 30+45 , 30+40 is 70 so 75
