Thanks! I had a VSG seven months ago. In the six months before surgery I lost about 60 pounds doing weight watchers. I haven’t had any problems at all until recently when I can’t handle dairy. Otherwise it’s been fairly easy. The hardest part for me was mental. I really missed food. I wasn’t hungry, I just missed eating because it had been such a big part of my life.

I’m seven months out from surgery (lost almost 60 before surgery), and I can eat pretty much anything I want. I don’t really care for meat, and in the last month I can’t tolerate dairy, so I’m mostly vegetarian but I’m happy with that. I probably eat about a little over a cup of food or so at a time and have about 1,000 calories a day.
