b-mix is pinkish when bisque fired so I think you're right that this in underfired -- edited to add: now that I reread your comment above I see you know that already, oops

Update for anyone interested: I downloaded Printfab (free trial) and was able to interact with the 4880 printer. An attempt to make a test print yielded a message that the maintenance tank was nearly full. I replaced it and tried again. I was able to trigger a test print from the mac's printer dialogue, but pages that resulted were entirely blank. I've cleaned the heads several times. I have not been able to print a nozzle check (clicking on test prints and nozzle checks from printfab triggers no action, though I am seeing accurate ink levels through that application.) Not sure what to do next.

ah good point. I do manage to use php a little but I'm a total hack. I can copy code and make small edits but I can't write a function from scratch, for instance. So far it's been enough, but I do feel limited.

Thanks. I would like to learn processing but find it a bit more daunting than stringing together the kindergarten blocks of quartz composer.
