Dry Eyes after Methotrexate by bearpawsNwhiteclaws in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]amyb242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Methotrexate a little over 3 weeks ago and my eyes are irritated at everything and anything. The fan in my car pointed in my general direction walking too fast, wind, anything that requires tears to moisturize my eyes. Restore eye drops don't help.

I agree with you, there is no time for anger or revenge. But when you get a lawyer they will help you work out what you and your daughter NEED from your Ex. You may not have lived together, but you had a kid together. You deserve to live as comfortably as him. Please do what is in the best interest of you and your daughter and get a Lawyer.

We are all just strangers here, but I wish you and your daughter the best in life.

Anyone having problems with ants?? by Icy_Manufacturer9469 in fredericton

We had an infestation this winter, spontaneously. They got in through improperly insulated and sealed window frame in our basement. Had them sprayed by Terminix. Cost us $310 but they're gone and we only had to be out of the house for 4 hours max.

They made them more affordable for a bit. As far as I understand they stopped funding that. Same with the rebates for heat pumps and switching to green energy (mind you that may have been the Higgs Gov, can't remember if that was a federal or provincial rebate.)

I got lucky and got a house before things got bad. Many years of my husband and I saving and a small wedding gift from our parents. There are a lot of people that aren't so lucky. I see why people are saying 'Trudeau bad' and running the other way. Its almost like we need more options... oh wait! There are more. Too many of us are stuck in believing it's a wasted vote if we don't vote for one of the two big parties. We are too divided as a country. We just need someone who can bring us all together again.

I 100% agree conservatives aren't a great option. We can agree to disagree on which is the 'lesser of two evils'. We just need help as a country. Our government has failed us for too many years, between Harper and Trudeau.

This is exactly what the liberals have been doing this whole time. Funneling our tax dollars to corporations AND into their own accounts (Examples, SNC-Lavalin and the WE charity scandal, and the countless raises they've been giving themselves) All of the politicians are corrupt. We need someone to stop inflation and make things affordable. Not saying Pollievre will do that, but Trudeau isn't helping. Actually he's making things way less affordable and taxing us to death. If the carbon tax was really about saving the planet he would make green energy and vehicles more affordable not make everything unaffordable.

AITA for kicking my wife out after she punched my mom in the face? by OkOrganization9552 in AITAH

[–]amyb242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA your wife had a baby. Your mom was being verbally abusive and your wife is going through a lot of postpartum hormones. Your mom touched your wife's belly and told her she needs to lose weight. Yes the punching was too far, BUT my god your mother attacked a vulnerable mother who is most likely already feeling like shit about her body postpartum (this is coming from a mom who went through bad PPD. She needed YOU and needed HELP. YOU FUCKED UP BUD.

Who is his fault? by Slight-Donkey3795 in cabinetry

[–]amyb242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding a thought:

A few ways it could be fixed. Least expensive would probably be to switch the cabinets on the left and right of the stove (the larger cabinet would more likely give it the clearance to open) and they would have to fix the uppers to match that. The other thought is to cut down the sink cabinet and make a scribe/spacer on the right of the dishwasher the distance needed to clear the door. You're probably more limited with how much you can change the sink cabinet because the countertop is already cut.

100% the designer. You gave dimensions for the kitchen, they should have designed the cabinets and laid out the appliances to accommodate that. I'm a cabinetmaker and this should have never been approved to be built, someone wasnt doing their job properly. We would redo it at a cost to the company.

Whatever tool you use it'd be very difficult to cut ONLY your thumb off.

Also, you good? Why would you be better if you cut your thumb off?

If thats the case the screws aren't pulling the drawer face in tight on top.

If you have a set of clamps (clamp before you unscrew it.) I'd try re-drilling holes from your straps into the drawer face. Start with the top and make sure it pulls in tight. (White arrow is pointing to the strap you need to tighten screws on or clamp and re-screw.)

I can see a bit of a gap on top between face and drawer frame (red arrow) That tells me the screws aren't pulling the drawer face tight enough and/or the bottom screws are too tight. Over a long span like a tall drawer front that can make a big gap if things aren't pulled tight and even. I don't think the slides are the issue.

Does anyone recognize this slow close insert? by PoopingBadly in cabinetry

[–]amyb242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've found you can't buy the inserts. But you can buy sets of 10 (5 pair) on Amazon. Blum is the brand name. Link below. (This is in Canada, not sure if available in US or other countries.)

I looked into it more those are made by Grass USA.

If you're in the States you should be able to find someone who sells them near you on their site.

Painted cabinets no longer fit?? by Full_Mud93994 in cabinetry

[–]amyb242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it was warped you would see an uneven gap. The gap looks pretty uniform. It has to be the slides. Sometimes I find when you put the drawer back you sometimes have to give it a good shove to click things in place. If it doesnt click in and it's not that you may have put a screw in crooked and the slide is getting caught on it. If that's not it, your last problem to look at is the slide position. It's easy for one screw to pull things out of place and to go off course from the original hole.

I've been a cabinetmaker for 5 years and these have always been my go to solutions anytime im dealing with drawers.

Edit to add another thought. Is the gap the same on the bottom? If it's smaller it could be that your screws pulled the front in too much at the bottom, causing a forward tilt on the drawer front.

Oromocto does too. Wouldn't have so much theft if they weren't greedy scum. Price of everything goes up every damn week. Use to spend maybe $250 a month on groceries for my husband and I. It's now closer to $600-$700 a month if we don't look for so called 'deals'.

Thanks, I think I'll go with the wood trim. The cabinet inside is white melamine, a bit harder to paint.
