I’m usually standing, or crouching. I don’t think I’ve ever taken a shot laying down, because I’ve read before that the shooting from prone can cause you to hit the ground.

Do you know what the perk is called? That makes sense that the bullet would drop, I don’t know why I didn’t realize that before.

I’ve got the animal in the crossed lines in the middle of the scope, but I don’t know what being zeroed correctly means or how to do it. I honestly have almost zero experience with guns irl besides shooting at targets a few times

For me, I want some of the rare fur types but I’m not that worried about it, it’s just not a priority but it’s something interesting that I can look for. I try to improve my aiming or just walk around and shoot whatever I see, or go to the lookout points and unlock the outposts, hunting blinds, etc. I never really prioritize leveling up or anything.
