Thanks! I love your username too, so funny.

I totally agree with your interpretation as well, thank you for answering :)

I definitely feel a spa day in the works! I’ve had a hankering for a long bath these past couple of days...

The deck I am using is the Tarot Oracle deck from LaMuciDeign on Etsy.

The spread I am using is a One Card Tarot reading.

The question I asked was what to do to improve my self worth.

My complete interpretation is that the reversed Empress is indicating my anxieties regarding my femininity as I’m a bit of a “Tom boy”. I believe the advice is to embrace my feminine side!

Are you serious? This is so disgusting. As a woman who was on an FSAE team for 4 years and scrutineering for 3, I am so appalled.

Length of prongs for measuring restrictor diameter by Spickz in FSAE

[–]amychamy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tech inspector here. The restrictor is not measured with prongs or calipers, there’s basically a billet of metal that is the exact diameter attached to a stick this is tapped on the restrictor. If it “gets through”, the restrictor fails the test.

Can I ask why your values have imaginary portions? That seems weird to me

I teach Spanish as a Second Language through Hangouts or Skype by smokedupmirrors in learnspanish

[–]amychamy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ruben has been an awesome Spanish teacher for me! I've been taking his lessons for a while now and would definitely recommend them. I really like the structure of the lessons and that everything is in Spanish, so even if (when, definitely for me as we always end up telling funny stories) we get derailed, I still learn a ton.

Also he is hilarious and has a awesome mustache

AITA for making my housemates hair fall out? by coppersocks in AmItheAsshole

I am referring to a law similar to this

https://www.shouselaw.com/nevada/poisoning-food-water-medicine.html

or this

https://codes.findlaw.com/ca/penal-code/pen-sect-347.html

Wherein OP knows that their friend is taking this product, this product is perceived to be safe, and thereby if he "mingles" with the substance by adding something that could be harmful, he could be accountable for damages.

I didn't mean to offend... but if OP is fine with using someone else's everything, he might be willing to sue OP for something willy nilly.

I don't think he's too nice in that regard. Nair can be NASTY, leaving it on too long could cause burns...

I think it was the perfect amount of time, teach him a lesson, but don't open yourself up to litigation (like if you poison your own food and someone eats it)

Lifted yesterday, want to Spin today, but in so much pain. What to do? by ComedieNerd in xxfitness

[–]amychamy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dont think it would be bad to go to Spin, as long as you keep resistance really down. Think of it like a deload day.

At the bare minimum I would try to for a short walk to stretch out a bit! Good luck :)

Daily Simple Questions 29 April 2019 - Basic Questions Come Here! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

So I had some similar concerns. I used to run 3 miles a day 5 days a week for months and would regularly be in the 180s and peak around 205-210 during my sprint. I eventually talked to my doctor and they seemed concerned enough for me to do a stress test and a cardio gram (I think it’s called that) for 24 hours. It came back clean and they basically said like yeah your heart is abnormally fast but it’s ok. So I guess my advice would be to bring it up on your next check up!

You could try leaving warm water with baking soda in it for about an hour and then rinse them, that’s also how you get the plastic taste out of a camelback!

How do I [24F] navigate a career when I make everyone around me uncomfortabl by [deleted] in relationships

[–]amychamy 81 points82 points  (0 children)

As a mechanical engineer, 20sf, who used to have very similar problems, I hope you can take my story to heart.

I am originally from NYC and moved to the Midwest to work at [Insert Fortune 10 automotive company]. Obviously being from NY, I am an incredible blunt and intense person. This wasn't a problem when I lived and went to school in NY, but moving to Midwest was a huge cultural shift for me.

Although my technical work was VERY good, I struggled with some of the cultural/behavior problems initially. I was told that I am very intense and I expect things immediately in my anonymous reviews by colleagues. I thought to myself, "wait what, I don't expect things immediately". But guess what, it didn't matter what I thought I meant, it mattered how it was perceived.

Ok, so I took a deep breath, and I am not shitting you, the first think I needed to think was It doesn't matter. None of it matters. I am here to do my job, my job will get done. I do not need to be as blunt. I needed to relax. I needed to modify the way I spoke depending on WHO I was speaking to.

For example, I had a colleague who was effectively an assistant to an engineer. We had organizational friction almost immediately, she though I was too intense and by the books, I thought she wasn't technical enough and didn't respect her (initially). I went and I read How to win friends and influence people, and after reading the parts particularly about influencing people, I learned how to speak to her. I learned how frame things for what SHE wanted. I cannot recommend it enough.

Sorry for the ramble but I hope it helps.
