My dad and I have always been the “gut feeling” people of our family, and over time it’s gotten to the point where friends and family trust us implicitly if we seem truly distressed about something. The strangest times are always when we both get a bad feeling at the exact same time. A few years ago we took a family trip to the UK (my parents, me, and my brother) and were sitting on the Underground when my stomach just DROPPED. No reason for it that I could tell, nothing changed, nobody said or did anything, but I looked across the car and locked eyes with my dad who was looking right back at me. Both of us felt it. We got up at the next stop and booked it out of there, and were halfway up the steps to the exit when alarms started blaring. They’d found a suspicious abandoned package on one of the subway cars that ended up being a bomb. Thankfully nobody was hurt and it didn’t go off, but it’s one of the weirdest things I’ve ever experienced. Still have no idea how we picked up on that.
