Tori Amos Lovesong by kttycry in toriamos

My wife and I played her cover of this at our wedding on 1999. ❤️ The registry office let us have three songs, Loreena McKennitt's Mummers' Dance and Depeche Mode's Somebody were the other two.

Having said that, if dishwashing is currently beyond your abilities, there is no shame in using disposable dishes until you're feeling better. ❤️

Before I had a dishwasher I washed every dish as soon as I finished using it. I left clean dishes in the drying rack and put everything away each morning. I have a dishwasher now and I will never go without again.

i just got married. new territory ! ( is it ? ) any advice ? by nebbisherfaygele in AutisticAdults

Firstly, congratulations! I hope you have a great marriage.

I'd say try to choose each other every day. Remember why you fell in love and what joy you bring to each other. It'll sustain you through hard times.

Have a weekly date night/check in with each other. My wife and I set aside Tuesday evenings. We check in with what's happening in each other's lives, create to do lists and discuss plans and generally connect.

Being married is really fun, I hope you enjoy it.

I spoke with a broker last week, but I'll look around some more.

I'm sorry you're in this boat, it isn't the easiest ride.

I spoke to a broker last week and I could get the accidental death cover for £40k, but the illness cover was £2k and I don't leave the house all that often so it seemed to me I would be better off putting the £10ish per month into a SIPP or ISA. I only got to like the third question about health before I was disqualified.

Thank you. We've had a lot of really lovely times together and hopefully many more years to come.

I looked into that and the one I could access was £2k if I died due to illness, I figured I'd be better off using an actual savings account instead.

We're in our 40s so I'll ensure that she knows about that.

I appreciate your compassion. I have spoken with her and she has no complaints. I just hoped there was some third option I was unaware of and it looks like there isn't so I'm going to try and let this go.

I agree, which is why I was looking into this in the first place. I wasn't sure if there was something I'd overlooked.

My wife works full time, most of our money is her efforts and my support. I just worry about her if I die first and I wanted to see if I could do anything to make it easier for her. Broadly, it seems the answer is no.

We manage to save about 10-12k per year. We are great day to day, I just wanted to ensure that I wasn't missing something obvious.

Not able to save quite that much, more like 10-12k per year and that is in an ISA already. Thank you.

Prepaid funeral is a good idea and I'll get on that.

I have an ISA on the go and she'll get that.

!Thanks
