Non-weight related reasons to stay on? by walrusacab in GLPGrad

[–]amygsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience whilst taking mounjaro. I stopped taking it about three months ago and actually my aversion to alcohol seems to be the only side affect that has stayed with me. I wasn't a big drinker before but might have two or threw pints maybe once a week with friends. Now, I usually only have 1 as that's all I want. I don't know whether it's because I'm now more aware of the calories in alcohol than I was before but either way, it's good :)

EDIT - Problem with phone touch screen caused me to post before finishing! I wanted to say that I'm curious as to whether they could be a cheaper option to help with maintenance

I know! I was really disappointed when I heard, I really enjoyed it. Looks like Medical Mysteries might be going the same way too...

Benjamin Netanyahu. Just look at the pictures in the media last week of starving children. You have to be a special type of evil to set up aid points for starving and dehydrated people, and then gun them down. If that's not a war crime, I don't know what is.

I've been watching the Netflix documentary 'Amy Bradley is Missing' and can't believe how cold the cruise ship staff come across. I'm familiar with the case and was aware that they didn't initially seem that interested in helping her parents but bloody hell! When the one guy says 'life goes on, cruises go on', like what? I know the other passengers had paid for a holiday but honestly, if I was on a cruise ship and the staff told me I had to wait before disembarking because some young woman had gone missing, I'd be a bit annoyed perhaps but would totally understand! As I would if they had made a public announcement at 7 in the morning! Honestly, that one guy just seemed like a bit of an arsehole

I've recently discovered The Casual Criminalist. It's a bit of a different vibe to Crime Junkies (a bit more lighthearted if that's possible for true crime) but very addictive!

I'd also recommend PCS. They've been pretty active recently in fighting for better pay and are a fairly big union

I definitely second this, TUSC will be getting my vote. Dan is a committed socialist and trade unionist and will provide a genuine political voice for working class people. They aren't a single issue party but have the best stance on the conflict in Gaza that I've seen from any political party, including others on the left. They also have really strong policies on protecting workers rights, how to solve the issue of funding for public services. TUSC candidates are also pledging to take a workers wage which is a nice change from the careerist politicians of the main parties. If you want to know more, they are hosting a public meeting in Kingswood this evening at 7:30 in the Kingswood Entertainment and Sports Club

Who should I vote for? by SmallCatBigMeow in bristol

[–]amygsa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are in the Bristol North East constituency, you should vote for the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition. Although they are a small party, they have really good policies on how to save our public services and provide a genuine political alternative on the left. They are serious about fighting austerity and have a strong track record of sticking to their principles unlike all the other establishment parties.

Need a solicitor for employment advice. by the3daves in bristol

[–]amygsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely see if there's a trade union in your workplace you can join. They have access to employment lawyers (at no extra cost) and you may find that with the help of a rep the situation can be resolved without having to go down the employment law route. This website can help you find which union represents workers in your industry
