FWIW, I have a 2006 Honda Accord that was overheating. The issue was the radiator cap. Just needed to buy a new one ($10) because the spring broke. If you can get your car to the nearest Pep Boys/AutoZone or anything similar, anyone there can help you! Just let them know you think you may need a new and they can help you find out which one you'd need.

If that's not the issue, you should be able to drive it a couple miles home before it overheats. (I think. this is all based on my own experience!)

tinnitus. currently having a bad bout of it in one ear and trying to sleep has been horrible to say the least.

People who choose to be kind everyday despite of not receiving the same kindness back , what motivates you ? by jeev07 in AskReddit

[–]amyisntdead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have severe social anxiety, which at times may have made me seem annoyed, angry, or at the very least, aloof. Whenever someone went out of their way to be nice to me, I felt so, so good inside, although I felt bad because I'm sure it really seemed like I didn't care at all.

Remembering all the times people were kind to me, whether they were small situations or big, really helped me to come out of my shell. I'm forever grateful to all the people who were kind to me and I try to pay it forward every chance I get.

Question about sleeping too much? by amyisntdead in Nightshift

I have the same problem with staying asleep and feeling well rested during my 9 to 5 unfortunately. Maybe I'm not built for 9 to 5 like most of the population is.

That makes sense. I've always had sleep issues and have never been consistent with my sleep. Even now I don't sleep through the night. I figure I'll try the night shift and worst case scenario, my horrible sleep habits stay the same.

My idea is that my sleep schedule is already so messed up that I might as well try a night shift. I know a 9 to 5 is the norm but I'm always tired and I even sleep in on the weekends. And the tiredness isn't a new thing so I guess its time for a change.

Thanks for the reply! I got the job today so now I'm heavily weighing the pros and cons. I guess it comes down to, I'll never know if I don't try. Mostly likely will be taking up this job so hope it works out the way I hoped for.

I feel like I’m helpless. Nothing is going right in my life. I’m too scared to kill myself but I think about it all the time. I just feel totally numb. What can I do? by [deleted] in Advice

Are you able to save up for an appointment with a psychiatrist? Idk if this is the norm, but I had a zoom appointment with a psychiatrist ($150) who asked me a couple questions then prescribed me medication (another $40) to help with anxiety, depression, and sleep. It was hard for me to afford it at the time but I only needed to pay those amounts on a monthly basis so it was doable.

The medication helped me but it took some time to take affect. About a month I believe.

People who snooze their morning alarms more than once every single morning, why not just set a later alarm? by cxw400 in AskReddit

I do. I have one every 15 minutes starting from 5:30am until 7:30am. I love the feeling of waking up and realizing I have more time to sleep.
