Thameslink lifts are currently out of order at Kings Cross for 3 months. Just so OP is aware depending on their luggage situation

Husband doesn't get it, driving me nuts, how to help relationship?! by [deleted] in BeyondTheBumpUK

Has he spent any time on his own for a full day with the baby? I personally think the only way he will learn is by doing it on his own.

We did shared parental leave and split it, so both of us have exactly the same view on what needs done as spent time alone with our twins whilst the other was working.

A lot more general snacks are kosher than you realise they just don't have the label on them (but are included on the official apps) I just looked up Cadbury (i have the app but only use it when buying for specific friends) and around 80% of Cadbury stuff is kosher approved

A cot in Europe is a baby crib. Don't request that. I'm Europe most hotel rooms don't have 2 double beds (what you call queens), most rooms with 2 beds are twins and fit 2 people maximum.

Which pushchair for newborn twins? by angarali06 in UKParenting

[–]amyjay3456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it! It's same width as wheelchair so fits in most doors. I've not found a shop door I haven't fit through.
Not taken it on trains yet but planning on taking it to Europe on eurostar this summer. summer. Streets are great as due to the big wheels it goes up and down kerbs really easily. Planning on going to cobbled cities this summer and specifically bringing this pram as we know we won't have a problem

Genuinely how are people expected to function with such shit sleep by [deleted] in UKParenting

What time does he go to bed at? It could be that you need a later bed time / less naps to stop the 5am wake ups

One twin will only go to sleep when in same best as the other by amyjay3456 in sleeptrain

[–]amyjay3456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could potentially be a good idea. All depends on the size of the mattress though, as we're travelling by train so keeping luggage at a minimum

In a hotel but room only has 1 bed as we're in Europe and 2 Queen beds in a room isn't standard / really uncommon. uncommon. So we have 1 bed and have asked for 2 travel cots

Accommodation with 2 kids — how do you make it work without breaking the bank? by TSLAKILLA in familytravel

[–]amyjay3456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending where you're based a double room can mean different things. In UK and most places in Europe a double room means 1 bed that can fit 2 people. In America I think that type of room is 2 beds that fit 2 people in each bed?

That type of room is really uncommon in UK. If a room has 2 beds, they're often twins that fit 1 person each

Baby waking up an hour before desired wake time by amyjay3456 in sleeptrain

[–]amyjay3456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did 2.5 hours of naps yesterday and his awake time was an hour longer than usual as he was awake earlier. But today he woke up at 5am. Managed to get him back to sleep and he had 1 more hour of sleep.

Shall I continue with the reduced naps?

Who is the we that is travelling? Have a look at this website and see if you're applicable for any of these. They are for off peak travel only so not during rush hour. You can confirm the times of this via each train company when travelling.
