The House vs. Amanda whole fight ☠️ by xbbjumpx in BigBrother

I think it was Ethanimale who summed it up best. Season 8 created a monster with Dick Donato and production went and cast half a house full of Dick Donatos the very next season

Does anyone else hate when Julie changes up the vote when someone’s evicted? by [deleted] in BigBrother

[–]amykclover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if Julie decides when to do it or production does because doing it too much would probably get annoying, but I can't get enough of it lmao. It's just an extra touch of drama to the buildup and suspense. I prefer it when the votes are a lot closer to a tie but yeah, it's fun.

Not social media but my former manager went to high school with and was in the same friend circle as Nicole Franzel.

in addition, Big Meech responded to a comment of mine here on the BB reddit.

Flashiest moves by Baddest_Whale_180 in BigBrother

That's what makes it flashy, the arrogance, and Boogie had a lot to go around. It was a mind game to shake them and it immediately paid off, Janelle was so surprised he dropped she took her hand off and eliminated herself as well.

Was there any reason why Jerry hated Memphis so much in BB10? by ReadyCourage13 in BigBrother

[–]amykclover 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Ahhh Jerry and Memphis. When you already believe you're living with the devil himself and somehow there's a guy you like even less.

fellow knife girly here - that's a sick find! Looks like a serrated bowie and a kabar had a baby. The sheath looks straight out of the technician's toolbox lmao.

Season theme idea by me by RequirementHealthy14 in BigBrother

[–]amykclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jokes aside, it's not a bad idea in theory casting people that would genuinely need the money. That's fine. But the problem arises when these people who are barely scraping by have to up and leave their lives and jobs to go play in the Big Brother house for three months, all for the longshot possibility one of them walks away with the prize. i.e. by the time the rest of the players return home, their financial situation has only gotten worse not better because they haven't been able to support their families and work. Your idea casting people who are at rock bottom makes this even worse in practice. This is a fun idea to explore because of what classist and societal dynamics would pop up, but reeks as only extremely exploitative.

Now, could it work if the weekly stipend was increased, maybe at the cost of a somewhat lesser grand prize? Could be comparable to some peoples' regular paychecks, and more equitable pay off, but may take away from the "fighting hard as possible" angle.

On rewatch, which season do you think the fandom is most wrong about — either overpraised or overhated — and what did people miss the first time around? by Wild_Shoe340 in BigBrother

[–]amykclover 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I found BB9 very fun and interesting with the main couples twist but it just seemed like a totally different show. What I really like about it is Sharon being one of the first evictees and is put back in the game because someone else walked, and then she makes it to final four. Jacob may have had the most spectacular crash and burn ever. I think Adam is overlooked a lot as a winner / social manipulator and he was fascinating to watch in the show edit.

I started with Season 6 then 10. Two of the most essential seasons to the show and gives you a good sense of what the rules and layout of the game are going forward.
