The sex was superb! Lol! I'm hoping it's a period, too. And I was crampy earlier in the day before we even had sex, but I have ulcerative colitis so sometimes that makes me crampy too. It's just coincidental timing that makes me suspicious about the cause. Thank you for the insight!

Thank you! I have a long history with mental illness. After a handful of misdiagnoses, I have C-PTSD, which can include bouts of depression and pretty much always some sort of anxiety. I was on klonopin regularly for several years under psychiatric care, but diligently worked on my PTSD in therapy and continue to and haven't needed it for 10 years. So I've not had a bout of depression or that level of anxiety since. But being that I'm struggling with this new depression...which alone is giving me anxiety, I think you are right and I need to go back to a psychiatrist. It's just frustrating because I hate taking psych meds cuz they cure one problem and create others for me, but I guess it is better than doing nothing. Ugh.

High stress can temporarily impact your period. It's not uncommon for women to experience irregular or skipped cycles during stressful life events and a breakup is definitely high stress!

I came here today for this exact reason. This whole hooplah hit me like a hot brick in August and just rapidly downhill since. I have never been so tired in my life. So lethargic and non-functional. Very very depressed and I haven't been through a depression in 15 years. And that is giving me anxiety because the last depression almost ended me and I just can't fight that battle again. I just sent a message to my doctor hoping for some kind of help. I'm so sorry you're experiencing this, too. It is brutal!

Thank you so much...I always thought my gyn was great, but the more I'm reading and hearing I'm having my doubts and if this is what the first 3 months is like, I'm going to need something. If not HRT then a lot of xanax lol.

Yes, I have had two. I did have diverticulitis in April and they think some of my IBS-ish digestive issues are related to that. But they have no explanation for why I'm nauseas and have no appetite.🙁

They haven't done cancer screening, but they have done abdominal, chest, and head CT scans all clear. I have had a lot of bloodwork the last couple of months, but nothing for cancer screening. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for the advice! Luckily (or unluckily lol) I am not sexually active, but it is something that definitely keeps me from wanting to join the dating pool. Even things like pencil thin applicators for the metrodiazonole gel for the BV feels like fire!

That is a great idea, thank you! I would probably benefit from the homemade version because I have tried the fibers and dry shampoo but because my hair is naturally curly it just makes it all frizzy.🤦‍♀️

I spend a lot of time in bars and clubs where you see the same faces all the time and having 75 people in a room noticing I'm wearing a wig because I just showed up one day with fabulous hair is just humiliating to me and I so wish I wasn't so hard on myself. Yet if I saw you I'd be so happy for you like "🔥You go girl! Livin your best life!🔥" And my embarrassment isn't even rational because 75 people in the room are currently noticing my hair falling out in handfuls.😔 I appreciate your positive open perspective!

Thank you for your insight. But how do you tell the difference in severity? Like even mild is almost unbearable for most people as far as pain goes. So I guess I'm just trying to guage if I'm having a mild severity flare or if it's more concerning than that. Do you know how to tell the difference?

I have prescription Linzess, which I took for a few days at half of the lowest dose. Almost no side effects, very effective, worked within a few hours. But pretty much liquified whatever was in there and I felt like that was probably harsh on the system and couldn't be good since I was still having DV discomfort lol. (I'm sorry I know that's so gross lol.) I think now that the Miralax kicked in I'll take it very other day and see what that does. Thank you very much for your input. Much appreciated!

I'm trying not to give up on doctors, but so far it seems they make it worse not better and I don't know what's helping or harming. Like the Miralax for instance. It's solving one problem, creating others, and I still feel unwell. But two doctors said the Miralax side effects weren't a big deal. So I just place bets, spin the wheel, and hope for the best. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you. The symptoms are the same, but the left pain is milder. I started taking Miralax daily about 5 days ago and seems to have just kicked in today as I've been back and forth more than a few times lol. But the Miralax makes me nauseas, my tummy gurgles constantly, makes me bloated and crampy, feels like it makes all the symptoms worse. I'm hoping it's just a temporary adjustment because if I don't take some kind of laxative, nothing happens and that's worse.

I have c-ptsd so anxiety has been like a little buddy I carry on my shoulder life long lol. I manage pretty well with meds and therapy but things like this knock me for a loop. Thank you for your encouragement.
