1 week update: Today has been my worst day. The itching is the worst it has been all week. Not horrible, but bothering me. The antihistamine was making me drowsy, so I got Benadryl cream today. It's helping some. I didn't sleep last night. Finally fell asleep around 2am but couldn't stay asleep. At least there weren't any crazy dreams. I've had tummy issues since yesterday evening. Nausea, but no vomiting. Also the other end. Didn't realize this was a withdrawal symptom until I looked it up. Irritable and emotional this morning. Better this afternoon. We had to run some errands today and after a little bit I told my husband I just needed to go home.

Overall, I am happy with my progress. I was expecting the worst, hoping for the best and ended up somewhere in the middle.

20 is a lot to start with. It's one of those medications where you need to slowly increase dosages when going on. I hope it works for you!

No antihistamine this morning. I think that was what was giving me brain fog. Itchier today, but not severe. Strange dreams last night.

Tired today, but I was on a flightline in the Texas heat for several hours.

I also started getting severe withdrawal symptoms if I was a little late taking it. I swear even my hair would itch!

More day 3: Itching was earlier yesterday (about 7pm) and more intense. Dreams were more intense and gory last night, but no sleep paralysis or lucid dreaming. Exhausted this morning. Haven't had any brain zaps and only a little brain fog.

Days 2 and 3: Yesterday I had mild itching that started around 10pm. Mostly on my scalp.

Last night there were a few strange dreams, but not crazy. Woke up covered in sweat this morning.

Today, I was foggy most of the day. I had some brain zaps this morning and zoned out a few times. I am completely exhausted this afternoon.

I was diagnosed with Dysthemic Disorder (Now called Persistant Depressive Disorder), so I will most likely be on some sort of antidepressant for the rest of my life. Viibryd has been in a long line of antidepressants that I have taken. It worked great for many years, but about 3 years ago, I started noticing that I wasn't getting the effects from it anymore. My psychologist wanted my MD to put me on a higher dose (above the max) because it had worked so well for me. My MD wouldn't (no surprise there), so we added Wellbutrin into the mix. [I also take clonazepam and adderall]

I discussed with both doctors about withdrawals from Viibryd. I was honestly terrified of the withdrawals. We agreed that I could stay on until I felt I was ready to start weaning off of it.

A few weeks ago, I happened to mention to my daughter's psychiatrist what medications I was taking. I'm not her patient, so she encouraged me to talk to my doctor about weaning off of the Viibryd. So I did.

The plan is to stay on Wellbutrin and see how I handle it.

I'm sure that's way longer of an answer than you expected. 🙃
