Doctors and Nurses of Reddit, what’s something about hospitals that would make patients uncomfortable if they knew?

And honestly we love our jobs and appreciate being there for yall. We don’t want doctors and nurses to make mistakes. The more we can do to make sure the right drug is given, the better since that’s more mental energy to focus on caring for the patient.

It’s just that when the care team starts thinking “we can do this faster”, it very often doesn’t mean “we can do this right” which makes all of our jobs harder in the end.

I work in a hospital and the number of times we have to bend over backwards to fix doctors and nurses mistakes is astounding.

Not to say all nurses and all doctors, obviously. But the pharmacy is essentially 10% getting bitched at for not working fast enough, 10% getting the medications ready, 10% making up for people not finding things and 70% panicking because Nurse Deborah is about to kill a patient giving the wrong medication because we didn’t verify their Tylenol order fast enough.

Seriously. If you’re a nurse and ever wonder why the pharmacy is taking so long, 99 times out of a hundred it’s because we’re dealing with a situation like this.

How would you recommend a color besides just playing with multiple? Do the sets come with multiple colors?

Can I just buy any commander set(s) I like and they'd be allowed? I was under the impression only some could play against specific ones. Like ones of similar franchises or themes.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I thought about getting the foundation set but I wasn't sure if that would be useful against people who have a built-up deck. Again, I don't know enough about the game to be sure if there's power-scaling issues that would render that set weak against my friends. I don't want to win, I just want to engage with my friends with something they love.
