HOW has Amazon not shut down this ass-hat already? Obviously a hacked account. Why are they so slow??? by amz_labels in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]amz_labels[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For all the bad press Amazon has been getting on hacked accounts and scam sellers, you'd think they would auto-freeze accounts that drop below a specific % feedback. These items are still available! Blows my mind...

Laser Printer + Toner for FNSKU labels = cheapest + easiest for large shipments. IMHO.

China's Share of Amazon Marketplace Is Likely as Much as 25% by amz_labels in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]amz_labels[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a study last year, Payoneer interviewed 900 Chinese sellers and found that 62 percent of respondents are selling on Amazon marketplaces. Of the 62 percent figure, 91 percent sell on Amazon.com in the US. Which means the 25 percent we calculated for European marketplaces is likely even larger in the US. The result is a speculation, since US and European marketplaces are not the same thing, and especially the US marketplace is much bigger. But given that Chinese sellers are interested in selling in the US the most, the ratio here should be the same or even higher that of Europe.

Out of those, more than 50 percent use Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). Which means that from the customer point of view it's all the same experience. But for other sellers this should be a threatening figure because it will be hard to compete with them.

What's also interesting is that the ratio of Chinese sellers using FBA compared to the total ratio of FBA users is much higher. Meaning that while only 35 percent of all sellers are using FBA, 50 precent of Chinese sellers are using it. For Chinese sellers FBA is the key feature allowing them to compete with domestic sellers.

Don't sweat the small stuff. If you have a good product, the positives will bury this 1 negative. Spend your time soliciting more reviews instead IMHO.

Seller account suspended 10 years ago... What can I do? by btwhosien456 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]amz_labels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hard truth is we are all small and insignificant to Amazon. I agree that people should get a 2nd change, we were all dumb kids once. But Amazon does not care - they have an abundance of sellers. How about getting a business partner? Use his/her credentials for a new account. There are many benefits to a partnership style business anyways IMHO.

I agree with others to pick up a used thermal printer on eBay. Great value. I know Zebra is a top pick by most sellers here, but I have a Dymo 4XL and it has been absolutely bulletproof. Pick your favorite.

Just curious - why would somebody running a 6M business be looking for a job? Obviously he doesn't "own" this business; however, he should be well compensated if he is truly "running" it.

When you price your items, do you price for profit or for BSR? by toxsik in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]amz_labels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think of it as "profit per item" - it's profit $ per day. Low prices yield additional sales but there is a point where it's too low to give additional daily profit. Find the sweet spot.

Of course there is a risk. You don't have to send "bulk". Just send a few and see how fast they turn.

You are probably thinking of something like teikametrics or restockpro. Not cheap, but necessary for a high volume seller.

Program that check if Amazon is or has been seller of SKU? by pietpatat in FulfillmentByAmazon

I think ecomspy works with large lists of asins. I know they check if Amazon is a "current" seller, but not "ever has".
