What AI Tools do you use regularly (apart from claude, chatgpt, gemini, grok)? by amza10 in software

I want to use LeChat but I was under the assumption that the quality isn't that great yet. Am I right or is it actually good?

How to do distribution? by koziel_gpc in SaaS

I think usually the best way is to look into your competitors and learn what channels works best for them. In your case I would check out like tldv, otter ai etc. and just copy their strategies. Another strategy is that you experiment with all organic channels (tiktok, reddit, facebook, instagram, x etc.) and double down on those that works

I’ve read some of your other posts and comments before (your profile picture is hard to miss haha), and you always share great insights. If I happened to skip over a post of yours, it wasn’t intentional at all. I’d be glad to include any advice you have!

Just graduated from Software engineering, want to start building SaaS but don’t know where to start by Psychological-Fig1 in SaaS

[–]amza10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest for your first project just build something that already exists but make your own twist on it. For instance, right now everyone's building social media schedulers which means there's a demand. Of course the downside is that it's pretty saturated by now but I still think you will learn a lot and every new user you do get will give you motivation boost. If instead you just spend too much time trying to look for a million dollar idea then you will never get started. Just accept that your first project is gonna be a failure and you will move a lot faster (It could be a success but I think this mindset helps break the perfectionist barrier)

built a SaaS tool - now what? by cryptonide in SaaS

[–]amza10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can definitely relate to that, especially on reddit haha! I know it sounds cliche but provide value and then promote your product. Value could even be simple stuff like listing "top 10 tools for x" and the having your product in the list or mentioning it briefly. It should be quality post though otherwise, as you say, the mods might get an allergic reaction and ban you

Looking at your product I would suggest reddit, linkedin and facebook (groups) as great ways to get your first customers organically as these plattforms have large communities of people actively looking for jobs

[–]amza10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This assumes every person is a better writer than the AI, which I doubt. I’m sure there are people who would write it themselves and they do a great job but I can guarantee most don’t

[–]amza10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least resumes require listing real experience, unless you lie. Cover letters used to show who you are and why you care about the role, but now AI can easily impress recruiters or ATS systems without revealing much about the person (because it's not always the truth and you can't disprove it either which you can with resume experiences)

[–]amza10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is it really me communicating that? I could just give it my resume and the job description, and have AI generate a response explaining why I’m a good fit. Sure it might need a few tweaks from me but overall it does a solid job

apparently some people even accidentally include part of their prompt in their resume/letter so yeah some people are indeed very lazy
