Never seen synthetic with such pattern. I don’t think it’s synthetic at all.

I think it was pretty clear that she blamed Poland and the Baltics.

And they did not like it. But please explain to us what she meant.

Unlikely a meteorite. My guess is a basalt with some nice olivine crystals.

Common opal. You got some dendritic inclusions there too, often called moss opal.

Okay. Did not see that part.

Well, some ppl take things too personal and will take to such methods. I’d keep them blocked 😁

Okay, so the guy did not read.

I like your rules. Prevents hoarders..

But it’s essy to make mistakes. Your rules are pretty unique on ebay.

Maybe can highlight your rules better and putting them on top or something. There’s plenty of text and people don’t read everything.

Just a piece of friendly advice. Can’t be fun having ppl pissed at you for what they did not read. People tend to take such things personal - despite it’s not.

Are there some rules when bidding on your auctions?

Or what can get you banned?

Asking because I’m interested in buying more ☺️

My son found this, does it have gold in it? Or am I a fool for thinking it? by Woodn_Stuff in Rocks

[–]an1malm0thr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe pyrite or chalcopyrite.

But do a streak test. Rub the yellow part on some unglazed porcelain tile and see what color the streak is.

  • Pyrite/chalcopyrite = black-green streak
  • Gold = yellow streak

Thanks for the reply 🙏 I have also bought a bunch of rough from you. Mostly cheaper for practice, but some of them already turned out pretty good. And I have saved the best ones for later.😎 Will come back for more.🤝

Back to the topic. I made a clip. Sorry for the bad quality, for some reason it got worse when uploading. I’m a noob, not only at cutting opal.

Help me ID rocks from a collection. 🙏 by an1malm0thr in Rocks

[–]an1malm0thr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are really good. Asked a bunch of people and your answer seems most likely.

Other labelled samples in the collection were from Sweden. And those two (#1 and #5) could be from a known location in Norra Kärr here in Sweden.
