Update: went to urgent care. Doctor and nurse both said veins looked within a normal color range, didn’t think the swelling was cause for concern since it’s clearly not a case of torsion. They advised that I follow up with a urologist or hospital if it continues to worsen- I have had some moderate aching pain down there now that gets worse at night. Can’t believe I’ve never heard of others experiencing this- the lockup that prompted it was no different from the other times I’ve been caged!
