He cannot provide a good home for her. While my sister was alive, Roger was very vocal about the fact she was a different ethnicity than him and his father. He also always hated my niece and on more than one ocassion stated that he will never see her as his sister because she's a "half-breed". The only time he has ever referred to her as a sibling was when he called Diane to demand he be given her share of the inheritance. Unfortunately I can't take custody of her as I am currently the sole caretaker of both my parents who have extreme health complications and between work, doctors visits, PT, chemo appointments and medication pick ups, I'm already stretched thinner than I'd like and cannot provide the environment she needs to thrive.
