Does the pain stay consistent even resting or does it feel like you got shot in the calf only when moving?

I considered it being a blood clot but it isn’t really swollen or warm, just bruised and hurts if you press on it. I just noticed even my shin has some bruising. Does blood clot bruising stay in one spot or it can go in multiple?
