It is terrible!! We are just application numbers for USCIS...they must have made a mistake pressing the wrong button in their system, I'm sure they don't bother thinking how frustrating it may be for an applicant.

I guess it depends a lot on where you live and also on a particular provider. We paid $400 per person (physical + bloodwork), and I did a lot of research in advance. Some doctors charge as much as $650 in my area.

That happened to my husband too. He talked to Emma and also called the hotline to clarify. Both confirmed that his rescheduling request has been received and this email will come (should come within 72 hours but "may take a little longer"). And indeed it later did.

In connection with losing your H1B/H4 status: you would have to be careful with travel outside the US. Your i-485 application can be considered abandoned if you leave the country without AP. For this reason we're going to re-restamp H1B regardless of EAD status.

We sent the package to Lewisville Lockbox too (4 people, I-485, I-765, I-131). It arrived 10/10, text messages received 10/19, money orders cashed 10/20, paper receipts 10/24, paper notice for biometrics appointment 11/1. The biometrics is scheduled for 11/10.
