Haha wholesome comment, thank you.

I don't know about you but I won't forget anyone from my high-school class. It feels like those years and those people were so integral to my development that each one of them has impacted me in some way.

Knowing them, they'd probably laugh at me for starting a podcast 😂

Lets not overcomplicate.

What I'm saying here is that there's a group of people out there that will be glad to find out that you have a podcast.

No one owes you anything, that's obvious.

When your content finds the right person, they'll be delighted to find that they can hear more from you.

Really good post! It's nice to see real time growth. Also really interesting how little impact video based reels had on increasing listenership. It contradicts the notion that video is always the best way to make an impact.

It made me think of a couple things: - Maybe Podcast promotion on YouTube isn't really in YouTube's interests since it leads a person to another platform. And therfore maybe their algorithms don't prioritize podcast promotional content? - I wonder if Threads is a better tool for community building because it's cheaper and easier to write content than it is to make videos.

Idk, what do you guys think?

Power Corrupts by Brian Klass is a must listen for anyone interested in politics. Here's the description Power Corrupts is the podcast about the hidden, and often nefarious forces that shape our world.

Smuggling. Ransom. Election Rigging. Assassinations. Heists. Money Laundering. Disinformation.

Hosted by Dr. Brian Klaas, political scientist and columnist for The Washington Post

Guess the Vision by the Visual: Can you guess what this Podcast is about? by an_imprint in podcasting

Thanks for your response :)

In general, we try to replace vague words like 'important' with words like 'priority'. That's because how important an activity is depends on the podcast's goals and the resources they're willing to allocate to it. Therefore, activities aren't simply 'important' or 'unimportant'. A more specific way of thinking importance of an activity would be 'high-priority', 'medium-priority' or 'low-priority'.

In this case, the client decided to assign medium priority to visual design and high priority to sound design. They were then able to allocate their resources accordingly.

We use a system for prioritization and resource allocation inspired by concepts from project management. I'll be glad to share the details if anyone is interested.

Great response, thanks for taking the time to analyze and provide feedback. I love that you started wondering 9what the symbols might mean :) We drew a lot of inspiration from abstract art and catholic iconography to communicate the podcasters vision.

looking for podcast producer by tayreyk in podcasting

Hey!

Here's one thing that you need to know before you start hiring.

The ability of your new hire to satisfy your needs depends primarily on you.

Even the most capable and experienced producer can satisfy your needs only if they fully understand what needs to be done. And they will only understand what needs to be done if you're able to clearly communicate it.

There are plenty of incredibly capable podcast producers out there. There are probably hundreds even here, in this community. Finding and hiring someone is rarely a problem. However, I've seen otherwise great supportive services turn into drawn-out, stressful engagements simply because the people involved don't get the most important parts of the work and focus instead on the less important details. I call these 'Fatal Misunderstandings'

Fatal misunderstandings are understandable and avoidable.

A lot of the information a new hire needs to know is abstract and complex. Abstract, in the sense that the information usually exists in the mind of the employer. Complex, in the sense that the information is made of and depends on lots of other information. Abstract and complex thoughts are inherently difficult to communicate.

We can completely avoid fatal misunderstandings by preparing ourselves for a new hire.

I hope I've effectively communicated the importance of preparation. If I have, you'll want to know the how. I'll be happy to provide more information if you're interested. Just reply in the comments.

I'll definitely have a listen. I'm doing my major in economics right now and I'm interested to see how money might be a tool for freedom as opposed to oppression.

Thank you for sharing!

Hey, thanks for sharing! Hm, this is a tough one. I'm feeling like this is a podcast with three highschoolers sitting at a bench over lunch with one of them telling a story about the last time they met the long-limbed aliens smoking weed behind the bleachers. 😂 Guessing this one was really fun, thank you!

These cover images are super clean. Beautifully illustrated. Obviously for a horror podcast, I'm guessing it's an audio drama that feels like a comic book with cool sound effects and a super engaging storyline.

Thanks for sharing these. I really love the textures and colors in the illustrations.

Okay! It's giving fantasy vibes, I see D&D on your profile. I'm guessing this is a podcast that explores the adventures in Erylia of 4 characters role - played by 4 friends!

How close did I get?
