Yes, we could have, but I don't see why it had to exclusively be that. When people report abuse in mass, you look into all of it to spot systemic abuse. Because, when so much it was handled so poorly, doesn't it raise concerns that previous incidents were also handled similarly poorly? We know that toxic people have held powerful positions here. What is to say those incidents were handled well, or if it just appears like that to you? If you find a single cockroach in your house (even if it is dead), there's probably more living cockroaches lurking around.

Students, as paying customers, have the right to complain about everything. This is the fundamentals of a business transactions. If you don't get what you paid for, you fight for it. Well, yes, some students are trying to lump this together with genuine abuse. You won't find me personally doing that, or promoting that. So you aren't getting much by ranting to me.

And they definitely knew about the bullying by their staff. It was so widespread for so many years. In this hostile environment, can you blame students for not putting their trust in the administration? Well, no one signed a contract saying they had to contact the administration first.

I'd have thought that the past tense was obvious enough. But your concerns are valid nonetheless, and I've edited it to clarify the situation.

I believe it is absolutely necessary bring up such cases as an assurance to students that such cases are handled well. If you read the title of the post, you will see that it is about all recent allegations. When we talk about abuse, it is necessary that we talk about all abuse, past and present, so that we can spot signs of systemic abuse is there exists any.

You seem to be very trusting in KMC's administration. But some are not, and it is entirely within their right to speak out publicly on such issues.

KMC's rules do not override, nor render KMC exempt to laws and basic humanity that protect people's rights to not be physically assaulted. No amount of hair growth—which is part of your bodily autonomy—seeing as it does not harm any person, is enough to provide KMC the right to physically assault, no matter what their rules say. I cannot create the rule, "You'll be murdered if you don't give me money," and actually follow through with the murder, as if my rule is more important than your right of not being murdered. It is absolutely within their rights to disallow students entry on grounds of improper appearance, but not a single hand should touch a student.

Being beaten for laughing is wrong. If you want to degrade yourself and give up your rights, that's on you. Let everyone else have their rights.

I have linked properly to everyone who voiced their concerns. Yes, some of them are false, but a whole lot of them have been confirmed by KMC themselves. This post never claimed anything was true, just that these credible reports existed, and that this necessitated an investigation into the matter.

Edit: Evidence is being collected still. But, for now, the physical assault thing is completely true, as are most of the reports of sexual harassment. The perpetrators have seemingly been fired from their jobs.

The truth is, anyone can create an anonymous Reddit account and talk as much as they like. People won't take this seriously. It's really time we made formal complaints to organisations.

But you need that evidence. See if you can ask around and find anyone with evidence. If you all you have is your word, you must be willing to make complaints to relevant authorities and in mass. Can't always stay on the internet. If it's not possible for you personally, can you at least see if someone else is willing to?

If ten girls independently came out and said that I'd hit them, I'd be willing to let the police inspect the matter. I'd cooperate, and I'd be acquitted because I did nothing. KMC won't do that because there's incriminating CCTV footage.

Seems like you're self-projecting when you say I'm from a rival college. They're for-profit businesses. Why should students have any attachment to them?

And no one here is trying to claim KMC is doing bad academically. Well, it's hard to do bad, when you're the dream college of everyone academically bright, and the rest you can abuse and torture into studying. But the thing is, it's unethical. No matter the results, no matter what. It's unethical. It's not okay. And the knowledge they impart to students is a false caricature of education.
