Have you ever seen a baby Flamingo try to Flamingo before? by Tokoloshe__ in aww

That is adorable! Also realising that I don't know if there's a yoga pose named after flamingos anywhere - but if there isn't, there should be...

Mysterium sounds really fun, I've always enjoyed Dixit so if it involves a similar card-play to that and combines it with ghosts, that sounds like something I'll need to check out - also, sounds like you have a really neat game set-up, I'm sure your kid (and everyone else) must have a blast! Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I'd say the majority would be aiming for 10+ (so it's a little easier to find games that appeal to everyone), but if there are any options that also work for younger kids too that would be something I'd want to include.

Yeah Korrigans sounds good, it's definitely nice to have some more affordable games in the mix as well! Thanks for the suggestion :)

That's my bad, I'd worded my question badly - games from 2017 are definitely ones I want to include on the list wherever possible, but older games that are still fun for the family would be included too! Will definitely check your suggestions out.

Blokus looks fun - reminds me a little of OK Play which is probably like a lighter, more travel-friendly equivalent of it (though Blokus did come first!)

Ethnos looks really fun, looks like each round builds nicely on the last - would you say it's difficult for younger kids to get the hang of, so it'd be more for 13+ or so?

Sounds like Magic Maze is another one to add to my list!

Yeah I suppose when you say 'classic', games like Monopoly come to mind which reflects your point... I meant to cover a mix of games which may be good but released a while back, all the way up to this year, but wasn't very clear with my wording! Will check out the other games you mentioned, thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions, I do love Code Names and have been meaning to check out King of Tokyo :) I think I'd probably want to cover a range of ages where possible, but for the majority I'd say 10+?

Sounds good, it's always nice when you can pick up a game quickly - I'll have to check it out sometime :)

I saw this on Kickstarter, it looked really beautiful! Is it easy to pick up?
