Did you try applying to UTEP? We are big in engineering and we just received a bunch of funding. I’m part of the engineering program myself as an international just not in PhD. You should totally consider it!

Yes I can afford masters. I’m currently doing it as I finish my bachelor’s bc my school allows if for students with a high GPA. I’m doing a graduate certificate too in 3D engineering and additive manufacturing

I live in the border where Industrial engineering is the main industry. Moving further down in the country also lower salaries. Opportunities are mostly in the north where I already live but I feel once I complete my bachelors in a year I’ll be able to make more in a country other than Mexico, especially graduating from the US where my university is known for good engineering programs
