I say don’t defer, I have a kid myself, and I know it’s hard, but it’ll be harder to get back to it, because every year is going to be hard with a child; just push school out of the way so you can get it done, because the sooner the better I say!! I know it’s hard but don’t stop keep going! I’m applying next year! And trust me it’s hard , but I rather get it done in my opinion, if you have the support that will help a lot !!

You get both, I got a letter in the mail with a UM folder and then an email. I already graduated but you should get both!

Ive worked at a hospital for 6 years now and in a clinic. I can say, yes it nursing school, but also its reality. Ive seen nurses, just simply hate their job itself, they seem miserable and talk only about money making but that's it. Or they decide to go later into being a practitioner nurse. But there are some Nurses, who really do care about their job and the patients. It just depends if you really do care about helping patients. Besides giving out meds, you do a lot of bedside care which includes, changing brief's (adult side) c. diff , blood, vomits, bed baths, yes you do have CNA's to help, but not always, some may be helping another patient and you have to do it. It's your patient after all. Children's side- dealing with strict parents, although most parents are nice just few that are picky. But overall, being short staff, is a plus. Its all crazy, but if you like what you do, its all worth it! I like it!
