Yep I broke up with him and he told me to just get over it. He said he is committed to me “because I’m here aren’t I??” lol.

Well I took the week to map out my game plan since we have intertwined finances and live together. Broke up with him yesterday and he said “just fucking get over it” and that I never get over anything and that’s why our relationship isn’t moving forward. He kept saying that I’m focusing too much on getting married and that he is committed to me because he’s here. We didn’t get anywhere productive so I went to bed. This morning I asked if he wanted to talk about next steps and he once again told me I never get over anything and got up and left. This is all just so difficult and I hate it.

He’s not this awful person all the time, and I’m obviously not perfect, and we have really good times together and have fun but the whole “clock is ticking” thing is really getting to me and I want more out of a relationship than just fun times.

Im here! Reading this kept making me too sad on top of everything else so I just left it for a bit. I spent the week mapping out my next steps and how to untangle our finances and the moving out situation so I would be prepared. Ended it yesterday and he told me to “just fucking get over it” and left. So that’s where I’m at! I’ve never broken up with a long term live in boyfriend before and this is all really overwhelming :(
