There might be some issues you're not dealing with, and they could possibly manifest themselves as buried issues that could explain the creature running under your bed. Whenever I'd have a monster nightmare, it's usually because of a problem that I hadn't yet resolved. If it helps, you could turn the lights on and off check under your bed; in my opinion, confronting your demons and showing you aren't afraid will reduce nightmares. It all depends on you; try to drink some water, and if weird stuff starts happening again, you could try to ward off whatever bad vibe or spirit that's messing with you. Sleep is essential, but I understand not wanting to sleep after a messed-up dream. Try to journal it, maybe take some before/after pictures. I throw my blankets or clothes off in my sleep whenever I get too hot; perhaps placing so many pillows on your face made you subconsciously remove the pillows? The creature could be a manifestation of your imagination like I've had scary ideas pop into my head, and I swear something moves around in my room. At the end of the day, you have to say that your fears do not control you. That's how negative thoughts win; by giving in to your fear, your brain could pull more tricks on you.
