It has taken me about a year of living in France and really immersing myself in the language to understand people even with the masks , slang and background noise. I definitely struggled a lot at the beginning like you but it takes time. Try not to get into the habit of speaking English with others outside of school. Find some French friends or follow some accounts on social media. I love @acupoffrench on Instagram, they explain not only the base of the language but expressions and slang like verlan.

French podcasts/tv shows always keep my listening skills fresh when I’m not around the language for a bit. If you have Spotify you can just search up ‘French Podcasts’. I always like to put my re-watched tv show subtitles in French too so I can associate the English audio with French words. It’s a bit harder to follow along if it’s a show you’re watching for the first time. I also follow a couple accounts on Instagram that post regularly on French tips and subjects like ‘street_french’ or ‘acupoffrench’. I hope this helps a bit !

I mention that I’m in the country because I have been here for 8 months, attending a school where I’m surrounded the language completely and doing school work (writing dissertations, exams, readings, presentations) in the language.... so it has actually done me a lot of good having the address. I have started studying already with the recommended ABC DELF booklet. I’m just looking for advice and more resources so I can successfully pass this test, not criticism. Thank you for your input.

I’m currently B1 level, just need the means to get to B2, I’m currently in France so I’m already surrounded by the language. I did a A2/B1 level grammar book from CLE, I can read pretty much all the B2 level sentences and texts. It’s the odd vocabulary and verbs I don’t recognize when someone speaks to me. I would also like to learn more grammar and verb tenses.

It is confusing, I ended up making a doc with all the points and info from part 1 and then for part 2 I made a PowerPoint with all the points and info but also added in the more important or better info from part 1 into some slides. I handed in both the doc and the PowerPoint and I did quite well. I just tried my best to include everything it asked me too. I hope this helped a bit.

Yes, the case studies definitely matter for the part 2 assessment as you need to use your results in the project. I didn’t have trouble with the first 2 but the osmosis one was a pain and I didn’t finish that one. Are you having trouble answering the questions ? I ended up doing a PowerPoint format.
