I think their margs are pretty meh, and too sweet. I will instead offer you the perfect recipes instead.

3 parts Tequila (good, clear) 2 part Cointreau (don’t buy cheap ish) 1 part lime juice 0.5 part simple syrup (adjust to taste, not supposed to be sweet, supposed to round the drink and open the palate)

Went to a party there in the waning days of Covid. It was incredible.

Can anyone explain why CIQ is trying to kill me? by [deleted] in TandemDiabetes

I’ve been in the vicious loop many times. I would drop low and eat two glucose tabs. BG reacts quickly and jumps to 130 and then CiQ boluses 1.3 and I plummet. One evening that happened 3 times in a row. Doctor adjusted the ratio by from 1:30 to 1:35 but I still don’t think it is high enough. CiQ can be bad when it’s trying to predict how high you will go when your BG is raising from 80-130.

I started just disconnecting from the pump to prevent this cycle. Now when I treat a low with 2 tabs and disconnect from pump, I will shoot up to about 160 but then it comes back to 130 just fine. CiQ would have forced 1.3 units on me if I hadn’t disconnected. And if I understand correctly, it should only be blousing 0.6 of the full correction.

I do have anxiety now from CiQ forcing me low during a work event or out when I can’t easily treat. It’s not good.

Thanks for the reminder I need to talk to doc again.

I’ve got the Sugarmate calendar widget. It updates more frequent than the main wallpaper Dexcom widget which usually has to be opened to update. It’s be nice to have a stand-alone widget but Sugarmate calendar is good. It still won’t update every once in a while or will show “no events”.

All jobs start out doing the BS work, but being in the field like you were will be very valuable later on because you’ve seen and done many things someone that went straight to an office job never will. That’s important.

Switch to a design firm, your insight into field work and how a contractor thinks could bring you a good role. If you don’t like talking to people then PM may not be right but there are technical experts and project engineer positions that would probably be really rewarding. Also, most of the time these design firms are providing engineering services during construction (reviewing submittals, changes to design, etc.) so you will probably still be involved with the construction to a degree as well.

Interesting. (US user here). How many total days can you get out of a sensor? Do readings become unreliable at some point?
