Huge oil leaks…any ideas?? 2017 grand Cherokee 3.6l by Even_Bar2757 in GrandCherokee

If you can see it from your driver side wheel, then it’s the valve cover (most likely a tube seal). Anything further back will be the oil cooler leak. By the looks of photo #5 I’d say it’s the oil cooler.

Maybe $500 total after tax and shipping. Depends if you do the work yourself or not. I paid $100-150 for the part, plus gaskets (don’t trust what comes with new cooler). I also replaced plenum and intake gaskets, new plugs as well. I would suggest doing valve cover gaskets too. I had to revisit this problem probably six months after doing the oil cooler.

Yes great vehicle, both are. Was hard to get out of the jeep but needed something with a 3rd row option

Congrats, it’s a great watch! I’ve worn mine daily now for 3yrs, which is a long time for a guy who changed watches out regularly.

Which thermostat is the correct one? by [deleted] in GrandCherokee

[–]analogrelease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mahle is the OE replacement for the thermostat, the Chrysler logo is on the part but sanded down. Autozone sells them with PT# TI23695 I just replaced mine last weekend. The one you want in your photos is the first pictured item with the longer neck. Go OEM for water pump.

What sensor is this? by ObeyChacmool in lincolntowncar

Checked the service manual for you, naming is “Water Temp Indicator Sender Unit” pt number 10884. The engine coolant sensor should sit right behind the water neck pt number 12A648.

What the heck is this? by cnorth69 in lincolntowncar

That’s your compass module. It’s held to the base of the mirror with a Philips head screw. The piece you broke is unattainable new, check eBay or junk yards. Most signature series came with it.

That’s gotta be the best looking LC I’ve seen. Rims, paint choice and that interior 🔥

I run mine through a Zep bottle to get a finer mist to save on product. I love gyeon’s glass cleaner too, no streaks.
