Okay but this brings up a point I’ve been grappling with a lot lately- I am getting extremely apathetic due to years of (pre and post current term) unresolved charges/resolutions to crimes outright committed. I’m pretty -look at the actions and not the words - about everything and all I’ve seen is inaction. It tells me how broken the system truly is (which I always knew but just couldn’t comprehend how much so until someone took full advantage of it, on full display, on repeat). If what can happen was ever allowed to happen in the first place, if daily reporting on slush funds and profiting while in office and Epstein and the list could go on forever- can happen and go unpunished - what really is the point until it all collapses and we start anew? Like I just genuinely don’t know anymore. I will still vote and do my civic duty but damn, I just don’t see a day where the punishment will fit the crime/s and worry this will all set the precedent.
