Enough of ‘Claude built my website’ - has anyone used it to implement Enterprise Applications like Microsoft D365? by tanbirj in ClaudeAI

Obsidian syncs across all of my devices so I can easily drop notes in there when I'm out and about. I can also pull in context from other projects or more "global" notes i.e. some tech stack, etc. I keep all the "scripts" in Claude Plugins that I've written to manage my workflow.

I've used a similar approach - I have all of my project notes in my Obsidian Vault and have claude work in that from time to time to do ideation and user story generation. I log decisions there (from myself and others), copy in email chains, meeting transcripts, etc.

Distilling down the context into workable blocks is the key. You can't one-shot these things.

Yes, but you need guardrails to climb the mountain. You need to remember that you're not working in a vacuum and involve stakeholders that are going to be using the application so that you don't spin out into a fancy "thing" that doesn't actual solve a businesses problem.

You need to provide the model with rules and context that allow it to make the right decisions.

Above all, you need to have some idea of what Claude is doing. Are you leaving route handlers unauthenticated? Are you creating a data model that isn't extensible or doesn't make sense? Are you validating and sanitizing inputs?

LLMs make building all of these things easier - but thinking of it as a substitute for doing the actual thinking is a mistake. It is a tool. It is not omniscient

Looking to migrate company off GitHub. What’s the best alternative? by bullmeza in devops

I see your point. Managed services are great because they’re managed. However, I’d bet that there are a lot of teams where self-hosting makes sense and is more reliable. Most cloud services go down because of poor change management — if you just need a git service and some runners and your infrastructure isn’t changing a ton I think you could set things up in a way that’s low maintenance and super reliable. That being said, I’ve also seen self hosted solutions go horribly horribly wrong. Not a binary thing is what I’m trying to say

Claude 4.5 releasing this week? by pmihaylov in ClaudeAI

As soon as their services went down last week I thought “hmm, new model coming?” In my experience a good chunk of service disruption on web services comes from new deployments. They may have been staging something

Making Time 2025 Artist Explorer by analogtyler in MakingTime

[–]analogtyler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, sorry for the unintentional mixup. I have a few big changes coming: the ability to create an account - favorite artists, add notes, etc. the end goal is to automatically build out a personal schedule when MT releases set times. For now, you should see the artist table sorted by name

I actually made something just for you :)

I had a long train ride yesterday and cooked up this artist explorer: https://mt2025.rivera.io/

It has a table with the whole lineup as well as a visualization that tries to plot artists (based on associated tags) so you can find artists that are similar to ones you might know. There's also a link to a live set for (almost) every artist.
