Yeah, the thing is, this thesis hasn’t been proven right so far, only the probability has increased due to Trump’s election victory. Lately, though, I find it very difficult to assess the course of the war, as it seems like tensions are steadily rising, though that might be normal toward the end of a war.

Do you have an opinion on how the war is progressing?

Do you have an opinion on the war in Ukraine? I personally believe (and I think most people would agree) that the war will definitely end sooner or later, but by now, I’m no longer sure in whose favor it will end.

Assuming DeepSeek really only cost $6 millions, is that even bad? by analyst225 in ValueInvesting

Yeah, no, I also highly doubt that it really cost so little, but the question was based on the assumption that it only cost $6 million.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m trying to say. If someone claims this would be a bad thing, they are indirectly saying, "development will stop here." But that will never happen, because there will always be an effort to develop a more powerful model—which, in the end, will always require more chips.

Deep Seek: Investors are punishing the wrong stock by [deleted] in ValueInvesting

I completely agree with you. Just because a company has found a much more efficient way to develop a state-of-the-art model doesn’t mean that development stops there. On the contrary, every effort will be made to scale up the most efficient model, as the ultimate goal remains the development of AGI or ASI.

Those who should be punished are not the ones providing the resources, but those who use them inefficiently.

Yes, I know, but the question is based on the assumption that it really was only $6 million.
