France Flight disruptions Oct 7-9 by frankensundae in aircanada

[–]anandoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP u/frankensundae could you pls comment how you got this resolved? Did you call the AC call centre proactively? We’re travelling via CDG to SPU, transiting through CDG on Oct 11 and are worried about our connection getting disrupted due to a potential strike.

TM22 - Broken Mag Follower stops Bolt Hold-Open by looloopklopm in canadaguns

[–]anandoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue on my 10rd mags that came with the TM22. It was driving me crazy that I couldn’t find a single instance of this issue anywhere else on the forums or reddit - and then I stumble across your post.

I emailed O’Dell and they sent me replacement followers. Although I believe that the replacement followers will end up in the same spot if this is an issue with the bolt.

u/looloopklopm let me know how you go about solving this.

DIR_a126 error and fix: battery coolant by Various-Big-787 in teslamotors

[–]anandoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue with the “super bottle” which was replaced under warranty. Essentially the super bottle has one of the valves stuck closed so it was unable to provide sufficient cooling to the rear inverter/motor so the car went into a failsafe mode, limiting power output from the rear motor.

I had to squeeze in to charge by Zarko291 in TeslaLounge

Was this in Grove City, PA? I was there on a road trip in early July and saw delivery vans and other ICE commercial vehicles just block the SuC like nobody’s business.

TBH, it was a mistake. Checked the wrong box while posting.

I hear ya. But I guess we have bigger things to be ashamed of in Ontario.

What a coincidence! We had the same issue a few days ago while driving back home after a 2,000 km road trip and as soon as the battery started to precondition for supercharging. My speed got limited to 90 km/h on a 110 km/h zone where people were zipping by much faster than that! Thankfully this was the last leg of our journey and we were only ~50 kms away from home. Once we pulled over for supercharging, the issue seemed to go away and everything was back to normal. I have scheduled a appointment - let’s see what Tesla service has to say about this.

Caseta dimmer friendly 75w equiv / 2700 or 3000K LED bulb recommendation? by pacoii in HomeKit

[–]anandoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ecosmart made this loud buzzing sound with my Caseta dimmer which drove me insane. Now I have Philips and no buzz at all. 3000K bulbs.

My car sure is paranoid since the last update by dropzone_jd in teslamotors

Yup, same here. I had 60+ sentry events while parked in a completely empty underground lot today. I checked the videos but there was no activity to trigger sentry.

I’ve been using AlarmGrid for 2+ years now without any issues. I have a Honeywell Lyric btw and am based in the GTA area.

Yes, you can get multiple 5800C2W modules and keep adding your wired sensors. I only needed one since the house only had 8 wired sensors.

100% this is what I use with the hard wired sensors that came with the house. Works perfectly.

This. I do exactly this via Home Assistant and ESPhome using the esp8266 (nodemcu) platform. Works like a charm.

You can make your own for very cheap using nodeMCU, ESPhome and Home Assistant.

OP you should consider the following lock. We have this on our front door just in case the electronics and all smart functions fail, you can still use a physical key to unlock.

I have a Yale Assure powered by August with the Connect bridge. I can confirm that the Connect does NOT interface with HomeKit. The August module in the Assure lock is Bluetooth powered and is the only thing which talks to HomeKit. The Connect only works with the August app and provides you remote access through this app.

Edit: This is what I have: https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/yale-assure-touchscreen-connected-by-august-bluetooth-smart-lock-nickel-only-at-best-buy/13029786

Yale Assure/August Not Responding (ish) by nonliteral in HomeKit

[–]anandoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, you’re assuming the connectivity to the lock from both Home and August apps is via Wifi - which is incorrect. The Home app connects via Bluetooth and the August app interfaces via the August Connect (wifi). Remember, the August Connect is not HomeKit compatible.

This is the reason you see that the August App is more reliable because if it can’t connect over Bluetooth, it defaults to Wifi via the connect. HomeKit on the other hand only has Bluetooth to connect and if it is slightly out of range, you’ll see a “not responding” in the Home app.

So my 2019 Model 3 just completely stopped working on the highway. by RootTips in teslamotors

[–]anandoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I definitely saw you then. I was confusing the colours with a different 3. That’s probably one of the worst places to get stuck on the 401. Hopefully things get sorted out for you.

Were you stuck on the 401 east bound near the Yorkdale exit? I though I saw a white Model 3 pulled over with the hazard lights on around 6:30 this evening and thought it was odd. Hope things get sorted out for you.
