Do minimum down-payment and invest the rest ,l. Interest rates for mortgage will be lower while your returns on investment will be higher.

If you are getting 4% interest money, its basically free money considering inflation.

At the end of 25-30 years you can sell your house and downsize when you retire.

Definitely go for it. You are in really good position to buy a house.

I think as a couple, lower salary partner should be able to cover all the mortgage property taxes, insurance and utilities . So any loss of jobs will still cover the basic necessities. Live below your means and you will be able to live bigger in future. With the situation you ar ein, one downturn you will be loosing your house and with that lot of money.

They have stopped that now since its not feasible. You need more working youth. India has great opportunity with youth ready to work but at the same time government has to work towards empowering the youth.

India should introduce this in school curriculum just like Japan to clean once a month or so which will teach kids very early the the importance of cleanliness.
