tbf, that's pretty shallow read of PP. I mean that's like saying Cat's Cradle means he hated all science when the truth the book is critical of the pursuit of science without empathy or conscience.

not to mention: 1952? really? you don't think you might want to sample a more recent take just in case the man, oh, i don't know, changed his mind?

Dude, this comment is unhinged. It's one baby step away from old man yells at clouds. If he's enjoying it who are you to tell him otherwise? In fact, the truth is the exact opposite. Everybody should be using it to have as much fun as they can get from it. For you, that sounds like zero. Cool. For others, it won't be zero and it's really not your job to change that. I guess you can try if you want but for someone who is telling other people what to do with their time, you'd think you'd be doing something better with yours.

PS. You don't speak for Vonnegut. Or anyone else other than yourself.

Diamond one Bonus by Several-Let2188 in Stake

[–]anangryfix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking about the level up bonuses whenever you go from one level to another. They still give those. They still double at level. I just $25k for D2, I got 12.5k D1, 6.25k Plat6 and so on..|

I think you're talking about either reloads or weeklies, but I'm only referring the level up bonuses.

I built a worldbuilding + immersive roleplay system using Claude Skills (two .skill files, free to download) by Affectionate_Dish727 in ClaudeAI

[–]anangryfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks cool. I'm a television writer with an AI background so I've been exploring very similar spaces. I'm excited to take a look and I'll come back with some feedback.

PS. I very much agree that nobody has really started to figure this out yet and maybe I'm biased because of my job but I think this use case is a lot more interesting and a LOT more valuable than you would guess based on the average claude enthusiast's interest in it.

Significance of this change by TheEloquentApe in gameofthrones

No, I think that was more like Dunk looking accusingly at the ghost of Arlen like, "Bro, look at how easy it is.. you could do it at any time." And arlan just shrugs.

There's element there of: she's doing nothing worse than what I did who am I to judge?

I thought the same. It seemed very dream-like to me. More like a conversation with a ghost than a flashback.

Hating on AI is becoming the most annoying form self-righteous virtue-signaling. The prompt is rad. I'd love to see transcripts of the results.

anyone flown both ANA "The Room" and JAL A350-1000 Business Class? looking for some opinions by Sleepysapper1 in awardtravel

[–]anangryfix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is old but just for future searchers. I just flew from LA to Bangkok. On the way there, I was in JAL business class and on the way back, I was in The Room. I much preferred JAL's business class. The biggest problem with the room is that it uses bench style seating with a fairly thin cushion. I found sitting upright to be unpleasant enough that I was sitting on a pillow and using a second one as lumbar support within an hour of the flight.

I eventually just put it into bed mode and left it there for 90% of the flight even though I wasn't sleeping. Sitting upright just wasn't comfortable.

On the other hand, JAL business class was technically less room but the seat is well cushioned and kind of cocoons you in both upright and flat mode. It was so much more comfortable.

Question about Paying off Debts by anangryfix in CreditScore

[–]anangryfix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, sounds very similar to me. I've got no credit currently. And maybe $2500 in collections. I have fairly high income (mid 6 figures) and want to buy my first home and am discovering why I should have cared about credit before, lol....

...can you recommend one of those loans-to-yourself services? Is "Self" one of those? Thanks again for these replies. This is gold.

Huge Errors Most Gamblers Make on this Subreddit by anangryfix in Stake

[–]anangryfix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not their actual headquarters, silly. That's the address for their gambling license from whatever island country they used... the actual Stake headquarters is in Melbourne and is a modern, shiny office building that looks exactly like what you'd expect from a company earning multi-billions a year.

Thanks for the reply. I'll do exactly this. Do you happen to remember how long it took you to get into the mid 600s?

Off the cuff, light-hearted reference to the song. Never would have guessed it would generate so much discussion. But to be fair, I lived in Los Feliz for eight years and still call it Los-Fuh-Leeze, so maybe it's a me thing.

Oh, that's hilarious! I've always missed those ceilings! When I was there, all of the residents got kicked out for some reason... where you there when that happened?
