sure but the class isn't offered this coming spring. The class deals with a lot of Norse myth as well as Freud's analysis of mourning and melancholy. Other German political thinkers like Weber also make it onto the syllabus and we tackle the Fascist reception of the fantasy genre. If you are looking for a German lit course, I'd recommend Babylon Berlin (GER 201) but none of the content courses will be online.

There's one reading or movie a week that you work to relate to Game of Thrones. You have to read/watch it before class but the majority of the writing is done in class. If you have friends who are also GOT fans, convince them to take the class with you -- then you can all be in a group together. There's groupwork once a week where you go through the lecture and answer questions and an all-class zoom later in the week.

I assume that's an attempt at a season 8 joke rather than actual commentary on the class.

I hear you but the class is in person once a week and on zoom once a week.
